A little bit Ben Stevenson so far and glad it's just a loan right now! A little overweight, lacking a proper pre-season and not match fit. Can see there's a footballer in there though. Hope he'll get better with games. He needs to. If he's got the right head on him that'll be a wake up call - he's not an Arsenal U23 player any more and he's not swanning about in L1. Time to step up and show he's going to have a career at the right end of the pyramid.

Also reminded me of Stevenson tonight. Technically might be very sound but needs more intensity and aggression in his game in my opinion.

As much as Im disappointed about tonight. We need to move on and regroup. We knew this year there will be teams who will well beat us. We need to make sure we are picking up points else ware

Well the Sheaf vs Kelly, Shipley vs Allen debate is for nothing. None of those 4 players is, purely by their inclusion, making a flying fuck of difference to that result. The key tonight was that they pushed our wingbacks backwards, made them defend and so we played with a flat back 5 for much of the game with 2 sitting midfielders. It left 0 outlet.
It invited an already very good team to play 15 yards higher up the the pitch and have the run of the middle of the park and they can be 100% confident that a lone striker with Godden's pace is never getting in behind. Godden's a dynamite finisher but he's not going to occupy a Premier League defence and we had absolutely no-one breaking lines tonight because we're too busy defending.

It sounds counter productive when you're getting battered but I felt we needed to sacrifice a centre back for another striker. You've got to force these teams to be more cautious by making them worry about getting caught too high up the pitch as a team, so that they sit deeper. Then you can get a foothold in midfield and start to get into the game.

Godden is a dynamite finisher correct with excellent movement and given supply he will score goals.

But without supply he won't create anything on his own. This is now becoming an issue.

Walker hasn’t come on on his own yet has he? I get the feeling he was bought in with the intention of going 532.

For their third I think that Hamer rather than bottle the tackle was thinking that he was going to nick the ball but wasn't quite quick enough

Apart from it being a (technically) red, that's absolutely spot on. They're one on the best teams in the league and we played poorly. It happens. Staying up is what it's all about this season.

Bournemouth forum not very complimentary on us at all. Say we’re a league one team and will go straight back down.

I think they’ll hit the shit eventually and won’t get promoted. I then look forward to seeing them disintegrate over the next few years. Imagine supporting Bournemouth and giving it the big bollocks.

Completely outclassed, they look very much a Premiership team still, but we need to remember they have subs earning more in a week then our first choice earn in a year. We can't let this effect us confidence wise, we're good enough to compete with the likes of Mill wall, Birmingham city, Stoke etc, but Bournemouth spent millions last season and were only relegated due to an injury crisis and a dodgy Villa goal. Anything out of that tonight would be a bonus. Saying that, we're sloppy all over the pitch, bottling 50/50's, it's not good enough, Sheaf got caught in possession twice in the first 2 minutes, hes too slow in possession, wants to take an age with everything, Giles is no better, positionally he's all over the place, can't defend, weak passes, bottles everything, apart from 50 minutes against QPR hes been dreadful, the pair of them need dropping. Hamer got a stupid sending off,

Think we somehow need to find money for a DM & AM.

My point is shipley was no worse than seven others and you can add Allen to that from the second half. Stop having a boo boy and you won’t look daft. Shipley deserves a go as Allen not good enough. I think he’ll try walker and Godden up front with Ohare behind cause Allen and shipley are not good enough on current form
I don't think Shipley is a boo boy. I think, like me, most fans would love to see him succeed and recognise that he is still young and developing. However so far this season he has looked out of his depth. Some of it may be s lack of confidence but he also isn't working hard enough when he gives the ball away. Although Allen hasn't set the world alight so far, you could see today that he was far quicker getting goal-side and has far better control. I think Shipley is better when he is given time and space to pick a pass, which he isn't going to get in the Championship.

We don’t have any money and our players so far haven’t done anything in this league to warrant bids.

'Countless'. This should be good, please go on...

Just before you share your insights though. Demin’s wealth is thought to amount to the lower end of nine figures, with reported values varying between £100-200 million. Not the 'infinite funds' you claimed. The club themselves have also shared concerns about being so reliant on one shareholder.

Also, bare in mind that 88% of their total revenue came from TV. To make matters worse they probably have one of the smallest stadiums in the league (which they don't own) and their commercial and ticketing income is small compared to their expected expenditure. Hence why I dread to think what their turnover to wages ratio will be. Just to put it into perspective, it was around the 85% mark last season. With the PL money coming consistently season after season they still posted a hattrick of losses over the past 3 years, and this year's figures showing a £32.4m loss after tax. They'll probably have the player sales to tie them over this season, especially if King and Brooks are sold but then what... If they don't rid their squad of the multitude of PL earners, they are in trouble.

Sunderland were too reliant on owner funding...and they suffered for it. So, with respect, who are you to say Bournemouth might not follow in their footsteps?

We'll be OK, no drama losing to a relegated Prem team. Got to be 3 teams worse than us.

played well against Bristol City just sloppy start that undid us. Crap against QPR first haf but looked really good second. Barnsley pressed us but we handled it and could have nicked it.

Didn't have a pre-season and short of match fitness. To avoid getting pelters I do not want Robins sacked but i don't know why he doesn't throw Baka or Walker on for that last 20 mins tonight. If Godden gets injured we'll have strikers that haven't played 45 mins league football between them and it's not like Godden was ever going to score anything but his penalty tonight.

I hope tonight makes Robins realise that a point at Barnsley isn't a good point just because it was away from home. The win your home games, draw away mentality will get skewed when we come up against teams as good as Bournemouth and we'll look back now on the Barnsley game and wish we'd gone for it a bit more.

We should have beaten Barnsley. That was a missed opportunity. We should have gotten a point against Bristol City as well. Bournemouth were the best team that we've played so far. It could have been worse than 3-1. But I feel we should have played a little bit smarter and not given away the ball so cheaply several times throughout the match. Hamer should have kept his cool and not stupidly lashed out so close to the referee (what an idiot). But I am not deterred. This is a lesson learned. We will survive this season. Chins up everyone.

Good points. But re Goddens lack of pace? I was impressed how many times he turned inside or turned back, keeping possession and our attacking options open with it. I thought he held the ball up well. Thought our attacking midfielders were the ones that didn't really get in the game and stretch Bournemouth.
