City boss on attendances
Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has said that he is not worried about the crowds which dropped to a new low for a league match with only 12,292 turning up for City's home game with Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night.

"It is understandable," said Boothroyd to the CT when asked for his view on the low attendance.

"There's a recession on. Despite the area and size of the club, we're still in the early stages.

"I want to get the stadium full and you do that by playing attractive football. "At the moment, we're not always winning and we're not playing attractive football but we will get there.

"We have had two games in a row and three if you are an avid fan and are going to Hull, so that's a lot of money.

"I can't control that. All I can control is the team and I've got enough problems without worrying about that.

"We've provided entertainment but too often its the wrong sort of entertainment. We need to be a lot more confortable. A lot of clubs with new managers are going along at different rates, all finding their own ways of doing things.

"We've got to focus on what it is we do because the way the league is this season I think we have a real chance of being successful if we can get our own house in order."

Ranson should stop burying his head in the sand on this.Drop the walk up price to £15 a ticket for anywhere in the ground,£27 on the day is stupid! Give away say 5000 tickets every week to schools in coventry and warwickshire, this will then get the kids interest and hopefully start following their local club instead of asking mummy for the new man u top.

I do find boothroyds quote on attractive football funny though.
