That group of clubs in that wasteland of nothingness in the 13th - 21st category used to be our bedfellows year in year out.. The world seems so much brighter these days.

This was Opta Supercomputer top 6 prediction for the season just finished
Leeds
Middlesboro
Burnley
West Brom
Luton
Norwich

2 out of 6 and only 1 correct position.
Not much better than random selection.

I know they have a lot of money and beasted league one but the championship has become a bit step up from league one, are Birmingham really going to be that good next season?

Also admittedly Ipswich did back to back promotion. Was league one a bit weaker last season?

If Charlton lose Jones they are bang in trouble.

I also think, pray, Birmingham absolutely bottle it this year. Bottom half finish. Might be wishful thinking but don’t think they are the force they think they are.

All three promoted teams stayed up so the gap isn’t as huge as you think.

Also Derby did the double over us and Pompey mullered us at their place

They all finished bottom third though, within 5 points relegation, and 14 points off play offs.

Why is there such disparity between the Wrexham and Charlton positions?
There was 7 points between them in the league?

I know ow Wrexham have money but Idoubt they can spend their way to a 13 places better finish

I just don't see the Birmingham hype, and this doesn't come from a place of jealousy or hate towards them. We'll always be forever grateful for letting us use their stadium at our lowest, but their current team isn't good enough on paper to be anything more than bottom 6 in my opinion. We don't really know how much money they've got to spend so until they start pumping big money and wages at worthy players in this division, I genuinely don't see them as a rival to our promotion bid.

Wrexham is get relegated the to get on.

Lowest xG of the 15 teams who’ve come on the past 5 years.

Sit and wait for the relegation market to go live, and then fill your boots

So our year after promotion to this league was subject to not having investment or not enough was invested in league one?

Yeah their away form wasn't great from what the local lot was saying. I think they'll be comfortably mid-table.

Got a decent manager in Mousinho.
Yeah, he seems very good. It was an interesting appointment and must’ve been well known in the game that he’d make a good manager.
Wasn’t he playing for Oxford the season before Pompey got him?

I'm also on board the Wrexham relegation bus. It's a huge gap now. They'll go into it thinking they're going to conqueer the world but the reality is their best striker has only ever been a league 1 striker (Sam Smith) and their other players like James Mclean are way past it. Of course, they will make signings. but at a big price i'll be watching.

Owls haven't been paid again, their boss wants out, they're rumoured to be under a transfer embargo (my owls mate says it's going to be for 3 windows but he's very negative about the owner) so watch that space too.
