Booklet or Card (1 Viewer)

Now I've got my season ticket, it seems a little flimsy. My 2 season tickets to date have been those little plastic cards that you scan. They were a lot more durable and probably cheaper to manufacture. I can guarantee sitting in my pocket on a Saturday will destroy my season ticket. It will be in bits by March. So was wondering if any else prefers the plastic card rather than the booklet. Not moaning, just a little worried i'll have to order a new one before the seasons end

Card was easier to have on you; mine was always in my wallet even non match days.

But I bet it costs money to have the electronic turnstiles turned on, something we can probably not afford as we'd be covering the cost (although as it's a stadium feature it should be there as default, but we all know how difficult talks were with ACL)

The card is great for flashing at bars and clubs etc. in the city centre.

Everytime I am with friends and I want an excuse to go home, I simply flash my card and would be refused entry.

Would put the electric bill up, but surely paying people to sit in the turnstiles costs a fair bit too? The card was easier cus, like you said, you could put it in your wallet. Scanning your card was quicker than having to hand it in anyways

I think as long as they display clearly everywhere the number in the booklet then people can have them ready and it can be just as quick as the card / barcode. Yes the barcode and card worked well for people who knew how to use them or if it was working, but when you got somebody who didn't know what to do, or something wouldn't scan it still took a while.
