So the fervour to return to Coventry out weighs the angst of lining the pockets of a London rugby club?

Too many negatives for me to return to the Ricoh.
-we don’t own it and associated financial implications.
-the pitch is fabulous (for Rugby) and has definitely had an impact on the quality of football Robins and his team want to play.
-Ground is soulless and gradually turning into Wasps stadium (which is the right to do)and away from our football home.
-I just can’t forgive the council for selling the ground from under the clubs feet, whatever the reasons they weren’t good enough and would NOT have happened anywhere else in the country-fuck em.

I've had many an abusive comment thrown at me on here (inlcuding the C word). I've reported them, but nothing gets done.

Not exactly true is it

I understand that, and I don't agree with it, but if you are not interested in discussing the football, why would you want to come on here? Genuinely curious.

So you want to stay at St Andrews, which is literally someone else’s stadium? Rather than say, come to a deal that is financially viable (even if only in the short term while we build our own) and includes SLAs for the pitch quality?

All because the council sold an empty ground to Wasps?

Truly mind blowing. I honestly can’t comprehend that thought process.

You don’t want your club in its home city, because of a property transaction.

The Ricoh is literally someone else’s stadium as well.
Someone who has refused a deal without an open cheque indemnity agreement.
Someone who provides a rutted pitch - and that’s just the line markings - unsuitable for slick football.

I've answered this point before. The people I talk about the game with are not interested in the politics. I occasionally drop by here when there are things afoot - e.g. Fisher on the radio this week - quicker than scanning twitter for it.

Apparently, I'm somehow a lower caste of user because I don't comment on the match threads. You'll have to confirm with Nick what his standards are and why he feels it necessary to pull me up on my lack of football comment. I don't know any of the regular contributors on here personally, and I don't attend games with them, so don't find it necessary to talk about the game with them.

I come here for the politics and for the odd contribution that improves my knowledge. As far as I know, that isn't against the site's rules.

In what way is it "not exactly true"? You cheerfully told me to fuck off on my second or third contribution. Recently, you brought up my twitter name on these pages and some someone replied "Orca is a c**t". I'd actually stopped coming by, but someone messaged me privately to say I'd been mentioned by you.

Which part isn't true?

It’s not strictly true as it wasn’t a response to you as it was a comment about your twitter behaviour

Anyway well done someone seems to have taken the time to make a parody twitter account of you - you’ve hit the big time

So having previously given me gip about following parody accounts, you gone and followed it. The standards you choose to set for others clearly don't apply to you!

Well it’s hardly offensive is it? All it seems to say is you love strictly and musicals

Lies Reid was an inflammatory spiteful account from a trust board member and close friend of another

Even then I’d have lived with it if he hadn’t blocked me when I started calling him Timmy Kalns - I even at one point admired his multi tasking - namely an ability to type while offering his body to George Duggins in the council dungeon

A parody account that can’t take a bit of humour back is not worthy of the name

This has to be up there with the shittest of shit justifiactions ever. You've given me such a hard time about following parody accounts, but the first time you come across one about me, you've followed it within 48 hours of it being created. They've already blocked me

What a joyful idiot you're making of yourself.

PS. You'll see my response to it has been cheerful and with humour. You seem to specialise in being offensive.

What surprises me looking at your photo what a remarkable resemblance you bear to Chris West

Bald middle aged bloke. Yeah, they're a rare breed.

Nice deflection again. Why are you following a parody account that is deliberately trying to portray me as something that I'm not?

@Grendel humour him. Let’s agree - the new stadium is bollocks, why does he keep ignoring the caveat that we indemnify wasps?

Lol in response to me saying he’s not holding Wasps to account and that perhaps he doesn’t want to in case he misses out on some freebies next year that that’s an “actionable” comment.

Best be careful... don’t want the sky blue trust lawyers on your case
lol setting asside the threat of being battered, there's no real suggestion they are getting backhanders. If that were the case they would lose all credibility.

I'd just like to know WHY they don't want to rock the Wasps boat.
There MUST be a reason.
Where is the motive NOT to say the indemnify clause is surely CCC's problem, not CCFC's?

Agreed - I’ve asked CJ a number of times and the only response is “he agrees” or the question is ignored

I think they should be threatening public endorsements of boycotts - of the Ricoh and local businesses. We want both wasps and the council to feel the brunt of it.

Are local businesses at fault? No - but them pressuring the council and wasps would help our cause.
