Doubt it. If you had an ST you'd be going this game surely.

You'd have thought so. But if all non ST seats in the usual area have gone, plus 6 additional blocks that aren't normally opened for sale, and yet we're still only at 5K, it suggests that relatively few ST holders have secured their seats yet. You'll be surprised how many don't bother.

What are people recommending for travel?

Need to either park or get a taxi from New Street I think.

You might get tickets elsewhere with others then wouldn’t your seat still be reserved? I doubt the system is smart enough to release them as and when.

shmmeee you can walk from New Street. It’s about 25 minutes if you don’t stop at a pub....

Bought my season ticket seats yesterday but required a couple more next to my existing seats - although these seats are not currently sold as season tickets the club are not selling them on the open market - this tells me that after the season ticket deadline (Monday midnight) a lot of Kop tickets will become available - not only season ticket holders that dont take up their tickets (cant think that that many wont) but these regular Kop seats that are not sold as season tickets presently.

Bought my ST seats yesterday. Plus, two others for two of my mates, one of whom is a Man U “fan” who has actually watched a lot more Coventry games live over the last three years than Man U.

This does have the same hype and excitement around it as some of our biggest games in recent history, which is a little odd considering it’s just a 4th round FA Cup game and not as important as many games in recent history. It’s a positive though, as while I’m sure I’ll be frustrated on the day by some of the day trippers, ultimately it’s more money for the club. And hopefully it encourages more for league games too.

I think there will be ST Holder seats in the Kop stand available after midnight on Monday. We’ve bought elsewhere to sit others who are coming with us. That’s only two seats but we’re probably not alone doing that

I have someone with me with mobility issues so would be a taxi. Thanks for the tips though.

I have been before on my own or with my daughter and normally use JustPark or similar but figures parking will be harder this time.

Irrespective of Wether you feel my opinion is irrelevant or uneccesary this pisses me off.
The fact is the league is the bread and butter and it pisses me off that the club can't gain the same kind of interest in a league match.
Sorry if that bothers people but frankly I don't care

I would rather people attended league matches... Where it really matters most.

Same old story with this club and its fanbase

Go go Evo - I broadly agree with you however it could well be that fans coming to this game at St Andrews for the first time might like what they see and come to league matches as a result - you never know!

That’s standard though isn’t it? We know there’s be 15k ish if we were in Cov in all likelihood. As I’ve said before I don’t think those not attending are boycotting, just don’t want all the extra hassle every week. For example the faff I’m having to go through to get an elderly relative to the game means well try it for a one off but not every week.

It’ll come. Promotion and back to the Ricoh next year and you’ll see 15/16k there every week.

Fair enough. You’re entitled to your opinion. I don’t think we are owed an attendance and our city has never been much of a footballing city. It’s a long road back from L2 attendances.

I think the interest is more to do with the opposition and the complete one off situation. Can't imagine we'd get anywhere near these sales if it was a fixture versus another run of the mill Championship team.

For some perspective for those complaining about cup bandwagons, our last 3 home league gates against Blues:

2012 - 22,240
2009 - 22,637
2006 - 27,212

I have excluded the early rounds league cup tie a few years back. In the context of this season, it'll be a big turn out, but in general terms it hardly points to a massive pile on. I wish more people would attend SA, but it wasn't that long ago that people were predicting gates of 3K in the circumstances. We've well exceeded that, and have the opportunity for this game for a real show of strength. It's a positive for me.

However evo the benefit is the potential money robins may have to not sell or get a loan to push on. And once you break a principle it’s easier to break it again. It’s the first step that’s hard. Interested to hear one of our own on phone in tonight as Clive and Stuart won’t like a big crowd at st Andrews. I think they’re banking on things being too bad and Sisu ccfc having to rather than choosing to come back with a more sustainable solution

so it’s a win win unless regulars don’t manage to get a ticket

This game however is a special event for both clubs. No doubt in my mind it will sell out.
Its going to feel wierd though as Im off to Fleetwood the following Tuesday with maybe 300 other travelling Sky Blues - thats football if youre a Sky Blue I suppose!

And we sold our allocation of 5K, you can't blame us for the poor Blues turn out. Next week is just a unique occasion with a lot of novelty to it, that's all. Yes, off to Donny tomorrow, much more important game. Next week is just a bit of an occasion and a chance to earn some welcome extra cash.
