Blessing in disguise? (1 Viewer)

Is the Bury result a blessing in disguise??

1. Our squad is going to struggle with one game a week at present, without the need for midweek cup games. As niggles and injuries set in, we will want to wrap our players in cotton wool.

2. Is this the wake up call the board need?

3. The revenue generated by the cup run... does it really matter?? Will we ever see any of it invested in the team??

But don't get me wrong, I am very dissapointed with the result and this id going to knock the teams confidence.

Maybe we need to pray that we lose every game until SISU bail out. I think it has gone too far and a.drastic set of results will force their hands.

Yes I have decided to support the opposition until SISU go

The main thing a win would have done is boost confidence and team spirit which I guess is already quite low. I just hope we haven't collected any injuries.

Really - think again please.
Bury just showed us that we wouldn't be able to compete in L1!

Hopefully SISU will see that too and get their hands in their wallets.

Then again they do not want to see us relegated as their product they are trying to sell will be worth even less.

Can just imagine Hoffman sitting in the background waiting for the club to spiral out of control, with bad results on the pitch and fans protesting off it

1) We are one week into the season!!!!! yes its going to be a long season but this is hardly an excuse!
2) Hopefully, but sadly i do not think it will result in them putting their hands in their pockets. Most of the board probably didnt even see the result never mind go to the game
3) Much needed even if it isnt being reinvested into the squad.

A blessing in disguise? Maybe, but a mixed blessing. Agreed, with a paper thin squad we don't need the extra games that a cup run would bring, but winning games gives a confidence boost to the players, and it seems to me that confidence will soon be missing entirely. AT is going to have to do some smart talking to the squad to stop their heads dropping.
