I apologise in advance if I've posted this in the wrong place!!

As you might have guessed from the username, I'm a Barnsley fan who is planning on making the trip to your place for the first time on Saturday. Just wondered if I could get some advice for the best places to park and also any friendly pubs I can get a pint in.

Looking forward to the game, hopefully we'll fare better than we normally do at your place, or against you guys in general actually!

Cheers in advance and all the best for the rest of the season

I think the away pubs are usually the Black Horse or The Hub. The Hub is closest to the ground and has a parking place across the road.

I think most of the parking places are on grass so I am not sure what they will be like at this time of the year but you will be looking at paying a fiver. If you get there early you will be able to park in a pub car park for about the same price but I am not sure if the Hub lets you park there for free if you go in for a couple before the game?

Fingers crossed out great streak over you doesn't end :)

I would say the Hub mate , 10 mins walk to the theatre of dreams and you can park there for free as long as you have a beer or 2 before the game .

Cheers for that fellas, got my directions to The Hub sorted so I'll be popping in for a few drinks to steady my nerve before the game. That's assuming there's still gonna be a game to get to!

Cheers again, all the best

Just like to thank you guys again for your help. Took all your advice, and had a great day out other than the result. I dunno what it's gonna take for us to get something from you lot, but at least we don't have to play you again this season!

Cheers guys, hopefully we'll be around next season to make the trip again and FINALLY end this hoodoo

Good luck for the remainder of this season.

Glad to be of help . I worked in Barnsley for 4 months in 2008 , in Kendray , we built the health centre there , bloody rough around there. We used to go to working mens club around the corner for a pint at dinner time , some good lads in there , they made us feel really welcome .
