I think that's still on track. There was talk a couple of years ago that Blues were going to move to the redeveloped Alexandra Stadium in 2022.
They were the wrong colour.Rebar supplied by the same company that made the hull rivets for Titanic.
The capacity for the games is 40K but that's temporary, after that it goes back down to 18K with uncovered stands at both ends which would be miles from the pitch as they're keeping it primarily as an athletics stadium. Athletics UK were keen to avoid a similar situation to the London Stadium where they have to move seating in and out for athletic events. Apparently costs a fortune and takes ages. There was talk a couple of years ago that Blues were going to move to the redeveloped Alexandra Stadium in 2022.
Including ours oh hold on .........The stands in question are only 25 years old. Shocking really but makes you wonder about some of the other new build stadia built using similar methods
You mean stadiums that were built on the cheap and have had very little maintenance since? In a few years time we might all be relieved we didn’t end up owning the Ricoh! The stands in question are only 25 years old. Shocking really but makes you wonder about some of the other new build stadia built using similar methods
The Ricoh is heading the same way, the place is falling apart already, only need to look at the state its in from the outside. Needs a good fucking wash for a start
Watch out for us moving there as per their plans, until we get a new ground. Not to say they can't move there but its unlikely to be similar to what was handed over to Man City and West Ham.

It’s not just stadia. The issues of build quality with new build housing is currently being raised and add to that the cladding issue on flats ..... it paints a picture of poor practice from the large companies in the sector. The stands in question are only 25 years old. Needs a good pest controller to get rid of the wasps that are squatting thereThe Ricoh is heading the same way, the place is falling apart already, only need to look at the state its in from the outside. Needs a good fucking wash for a start
