Wager straight in the team for them, Stansfield in and Tommy Doyle back from suspension
Hopefully Allen is being sold and kept out for that rather than injury, doubt it thoughKKH, Allen not in the squad
We have looked dominant in quite a few games. The issue in the past month has been a combination of tough fixtures and illness ripping through the squad. Both are now at an end.
Sure, but as form goes you couldn’t ask for better opposition.I think it’s the consequence of a small squad playing high intensity football. And the squad is still small. We look knackered. I’d be more confident if this was the other side of the cup game.
Same. Had this been the game after Stoke, I would be predicting a win.I think it’s the consequence of a small squad playing high intensity football. And the squad is still small. We look knackered. I’d be more confident if this was the other side of the cup game.
Yep I'll be honest it shows we do need another one. Someone like Neil would be perfect.Having no senior CM on the bench does concern me somewhat.
You could. Nearly every other team is better than BirminghamSure, but as form goes you couldn’t ask for better opposition.
Still don’t think we need a CM?Bench is very short of attacking options if we need a goal.
Interested to see how Eccles and Rudoni divvy up the roles in midfield.
Thoughts to Jamie.Frank Lampard has confirmed that Jamie Allen is missing from today’s matchday squad due to a close family bereavement. Our thoughts are with Jamie and his family at this incredibly difficult time.
Take a look at a official ccfc postHopefully Allen is being sold and kept out for that rather than injury, doubt it though
And no that doesn't mean I hate Allen or not appreciate him. But he will moved on in summer for sure so if it happens now and we replace with better that's fine by me.
As a super sub obviously. Manifesting not off to the best startThis is the game when Haji scores and goes on a run. I am manifesting it…….
Have to say, I am nervous for this game too.
It's all well and fine saying we have Saka back, but he wasn't playing well before he was left out, so there is no guarantee that he is going to come back in and be the on-form Saka we all remember.
We haven't been at our best lately (Southampton apart, where we were excellent, I thought), so why are we suddenly expecting us to be good today?Even Grimes hasn't been great these past two games.
On paper and with their players missing, we should win, but they don't call it a "funny old game" for nothing.
We will have to wait and see which Sky Blues turn up. The one that has been struggling lately, or the one where we know we are one of the best 2 clubs in the league.
We also need to be prepared for a scrap and we need to be able to win the physical battles too.
As I said before, I would be delighted with a draw here. Just have my fingers crossed we see the best of the City today. If we do, then I think we will win.
Just not expecting much quality at all in the game today to be honest.
Ya have doneTake a look at a official ccfc post
He looked good against Ipswich. Guess it depends how the game goes as if we score for fun. Could even look at ShepardAndrews may have to step up today at some point.
Andrews may have to step up today at some point.
Allen later in the game but not as a starter and although Eccles has gotten slightly better I still don't think he is great, to be fair he is really really shit at pretending to be fouled...I saw Gyokeres getting a roasting last night by Rice for a pathetic attempt to get a free kick , maybe our captain nerds to do that to a couple of our playersAllen over Eccles any day
Two defeats?Iffy form = one defeat since October
Iffy form = one defeat since October
Oh that makes it so iffy lol2 you mean...
Lol I realised as I was heading out that I don't actually know where my hat and gloves areSchoolboy error there Addy…..If only it had been plastered all over the news for days that we were heading into a cold snap![]()
