Hardly going to be toxic if (at worst) we are 5 points clear at the top - we'll have a fortnight until our next league game, and time to get some reinforcements in. Any bottle on the horizon is likely t be from the Blues fans (just keep your eyes peeled and tour head down!)
Will be toxic on here, Harry. For sure.

Away form isn’t great at the moment (2 wins in 7) and have a feeling they’ll be really up for this one. A win would be a huge but not feeling at all confident.

For those lucky enough to be going today, support the lads for those that’s aren’t there today!

just remember not long ago we were going to blues for home games ……now these lads / manager have us top of the Championship

And to the lads playing, play well …..and win!

Think we lose. We’ve been crap for a while and this is their cup final.

Lose today and the gap thins. Can feel a bottle on the horizon- atmosphere around the club changing and not looking forward to this one (or the toxicity if we do)
Relax… this is a win and the gap maintained

It COULD be if we win and other results go our way, although equally it could be down to six points.

The important thing is that we win our game. At least Hull and Watford can't both win so, if we grab all three points, we either extend our lead over both of them by two points or over one of them by three. As you say, Middlesborough have a tough game at home to Southampton and could lose or draw.

It would be nice to start the new year well and put December behind us 👍
We've already started the year and drew..remember... on the plus side we are still undefeated in 2026

Not sure about battering, but with a fresh EMC & Saka, Rudoni improving and Dasilva back in you'd think we can put in a performance. If we don't I might start really worrying.
We are of course forgetting Grimes who looks about dead on his legs and needs help in midfield, god forbid we put Allen in the starting line up again, thats not a slur against Allen either ..well not an intentional one, over to you Eccles !

We are nearing full strength again and a great run I think is just around the corner. I do think this might be a game too early though. Hope I’m wrong but they and their tramp army will be well up for it and we have perhaps just too many off form/short of match fitness.

Really don’t understand all the doom mongering over this one.
Because we haven't been playing well, have stopped scoring (just 5 goals in 6 matches). We were scoring for fun before and are now not even averaging a goal a game.

Also, in a derby, it can often be a more even playing field and be more about passion and desire and the physical battles.

Easy to see why this may go pear shaped today.

You don't think everyone pissing their knickers at this stage is a touch pathetic?

it's obvious they (opposition) will all be raising their game against us - It's the least that management/coaching teams demand.
Some will do it to a greater extent than others - Ipswich always had it in them as witnessed a few days ago.
B'ham City are no Ipswich Town but we will still need to match them in commitment.
I predict another ugly one and another 1-1 thus maintaining the luxury gap.
