Can only see this going one of two ways:

- Triumphant return to form for us and we give them a pasting.

- Brum scrape a poor game 1-0 after a bloody age without a win.

No in-between.

Why is everyone so negative, they are there for the taking, were top of the league ffs, have players coming back from illness, suspension and rests. They are in freefall and have a fair few missing. Lampard will instill what's needed to get a result.

Was that when it baked the ground and would not drain? Remember happened to us then or was it at the Ricoh?

Win tomorrow, 12 point gap to 3rd, tough games for the rest , hull play watford, mboro v saints and Ipswich away at Portsmouth, could be a very good day

They will be lining up without 3 of their best back 4 and their 2 best attackers in Gray and Stansfield. EMC Sakamoto and Rudoni have all had a rest. No excuses tomorrow I expect a win.

Been here before. Remember when Derby had loads of players out and we expected to batter them?

At Charlton too, we expected a win, with them on a bad run.

Great we have Saka and Rudoni, but they need to play well. We've had too many players underperforming lately

It's not being negative, it's having an understanding that football by nature is unpredictable and that surprise results happen week in week out. We are not immune from that and there are factors with this match which could work against us, although hopefully we win regardless.

It COULD be if we win and other results go our way, although equally it could be down to six points.

The important thing is that we win our game. At least Hull and Watford can't both win so, if we grab all three points, we either extend our lead over both of them by two points or over one of them by three. As you say, Middlesborough have a tough game at home to Southampton and could lose or draw.

It would be nice to start the new year well and put December behind us

Stansfield could play. Personally I think he will be on the bench.

I'm sure to be repeating what others are saying but the Brum faithful are just itching for a reason to turn on the management so we really need to start off on the front foot then the whole stadium could become our 12th man.

They’ve got 5 starters missing tomorrow, it’ll still be tough but if we want to stay up there these are the games you have to win, can see wright starting over Simms,

Just want us back to playing a high tempo, forward looking game.
Get the ball quickly to EMC, Saka in space. Let them do their stuff.
Actually they are better with Rudoni away from them else we just see short passes rather than taking a defender on and getting the ball in the box.

If you got an hour or so to spare, go on YouTube look up Sky Blue magic, a nostalgic look back at Cov City in the 70s,

It's not just the goals but some great highlights, some great players Colin Stein great centre forward play,
Mick Ferguson Ian Wallace, and all the great players, some great kits, Green and Black stripes Red Tram lines.

Guessing you’re not doing dry January, they don’t read messages on here mate, and if they do, do you think they’re going to pin my post up in the changing rooms, its only the fans in the ground that can put pressure on them, now have a lemonade, you’ve had enough for tonight

I’d rather they kept Davies than sack him and get a better manager in.

Not sure about battering, but with a fresh EMC & Saka, Rudoni improving and Dasilva back in you'd think we can put in a performance. If we don't I might start really worrying.

We should have a team good enough to put in an excellent performance. We are really only missing BTA and Torp from our first choice XI aren’t we?

A draw wouldn’t be the end of the world but I want to see us putting December behind us.

FL made the point that Ipswich used two wingers against us who had been rested for their previous match so let’s hope that approach benefits us too.

Appreciate that we are in an incredible position at the moment , and I know I sound pessimistic. I don’t care about the performance tomorrow just 3 points . Then get to the cup game and rest Grimes MVE Torp emc and Tats them full steam ahead for the league

Grimes is getting shit loads of attention at the moment because he runs the show. He needs help from others and I'm sure FL and his team are on it .

I think the Birmingham fans could win or lose the game for them tomorrow. Not literally, of course. It's a real hostile place for any team to play football when they are positive, but equally it's also a real hostile place for the home players when they are on their backs.
