Wager straight in the team for them, Stansfield in and Tommy Doyle back from suspension

KKH, Allen not in the squad

Hopefully Allen is being sold and kept out for that rather than injury, doubt it though

And no that doesn't mean I hate Allen or not appreciate him. But he will moved on in summer for sure so if it happens now and we replace with better that's fine by me.

Oh Birmingham, (oh birmingham)
Is full of shit, (is full of shit)
Oh Birmingham is full of shit.
Its full of shit, shit and more shit!
Oh Birmingham is full of shit!

In your Birmingham slums!
You search through the dustbins for something to eat, you find a dead dog and you think its a treat.
Inn your Birmingham slums.

Also, its ALWAYS irked me, not to mention makes.us lookna bit silly, when we sing Yam Yam, Yam Yam, to a group of fans from.and area that dont say Yam. They say Yow. So could we please try and sing Yow Yow at the Yow Yows, and not Yam Yam? Thanks.

We have looked dominant in quite a few games. The issue in the past month has been a combination of tough fixtures and illness ripping through the squad. Both are now at an end.

I think it’s the consequence of a small squad playing high intensity football. And the squad is still small. We look knackered. I’d be more confident if this was the other side of the cup game.

Sure, but as form goes you couldn’t ask for better opposition.

Same. Had this been the game after Stoke, I would be predicting a win.

Having no senior CM on the bench does concern me somewhat.

Yep I'll be honest it shows we do need another one. Someone like Neil would be perfect.

Frank Lampard has confirmed that Jamie Allen is missing from today’s matchday squad due to a close family bereavement. Our thoughts are with Jamie and his family at this incredibly difficult time.

You could. Nearly every other team is better than Birmingham

Bench is very short of attacking options if we need a goal.

Interested to see how Eccles and Rudoni divvy up the roles in midfield.

Still don’t think we need a CM?

Have to say, I am nervous for this game too.

It's all well and fine saying we have Saka back, but he wasn't playing well before he was left out, so there is no guarantee that he is going to come back in and be the on-form Saka we all remember.

We haven't been at our best lately (Southampton apart, where we were excellent, I thought), so why are we suddenly expecting us to be good today? Even Grimes hasn't been great these past two games.

On paper and with their players missing, we should win, but they don't call it a "funny old game" for nothing.

We will have to wait and see which Sky Blues turn up. The one that has been struggling lately, or the one where we know we are one of the best 2 clubs in the league.

We also need to be prepared for a scrap and we need to be able to win the physical battles too.

As I said before, I would be delighted with a draw here. Just have my fingers crossed we see the best of the City today. If we do, then I think we will win.

Just not expecting much quality at all in the game today to be honest.

Im nervous every game this season, when you're at the top of the league the Expectations are much higher. 🩵

I was nervous every game during our winning run and we kept winning. I haven't felt nervous for a while and we've been losing.

Actually a bag of nerves today so hoping that bodes well

He looked good against Ipswich. Guess it depends how the game goes as if we score for fun. Could even look at Shepard

Yes I think he'll come on.

Maybe even Shepherd too if we're a couple of goals up.

Allen later in the game but not as a starter and although Eccles has gotten slightly better I still don't think he is great, to be fair he is really really shit at pretending to be fouled...I saw Gyokeres getting a roasting last night by Rice for a pathetic attempt to get a free kick , maybe our captain nerds to do that to a couple of our players

Regardless of today we’ll be top of the league with a crucial chance to reset and strengthen over the next two weeks

Horrible for Allen, can’t imagine how bad it must be for him to be missing the game and for the tribute shirts from the rest of the team. Wishing him all the best and condolences to the family.

Squad now stretched very thinly!

Only two players on bench to provide a decent quality changes if required. No disrespect to the younger lads intended, but obviously a big ask for them to come on and make a difference if required.

That being said, the 1st 11 looks good and we really should be winning this one.
