How did he do today? I always thought he was a striker/attacking midfielder but he was sat in front of the back four today and last 2 pre-season games.

Dagenham's midfield were poor so not the best gauge. A couple of times he turned his way neatly out of trouble, and he spread the play quickly when needed, would like to see someone in that position wanting the ball from the back 4 a bit more and dictating play, especially against lower league opponents, but a good solid game and the competition for midfield places now heats up a little more.

I was a bit surprised when I heard he was playing DM over pre-season. He was a forward/winger in a front 3 for the Academy.
