Even though all legal restrictions end in June and the whole country will be vaccine? No legitimate reason not to have full crowds

A lot could change though. What if a new variant is resistant to the vaccine etc.?
Makes sense for the club to start off with a limited membership scheme again.

We are all just sports fans, some of the hate and spite people have on here against Wasps and their fans is really unreasonable.View attachment 19005

We’re going to be sharing for ten years at least, probably best for everyone’s blood pressure if they just get over it.

so people are saying forget what the wasps ever did and move on when we are back where we started, surely by that logic we should do the same with sisu...

Spare a thought for the true London wasps fan living in London, maybe been going to matches for 40 years or more, then the ‘club’ get a whiff of the green stuff and they’re off up the m40 to Wycombe, another whiff and off they go again up the 40 to cov.

I understand they need to generate listening figures but all those tweets hyping up Cov fans the night before aren't going to look great if this falls through.

I'm pretty hopeful it'll be sorted though

Yes, true, but they think the "wasps" and their owners are squeaky clean and would not do anything even slightly underhand, like alleged dodgy deals for grounds, training grounds, distressing football clubs, kicking groups out of sports facilities, colluding with councillors in Coventry and Warwickshire - have seen things said saying, that couldn't possibly be the case, and the best one "doesn't sound very Wasps like!"

Ah, but consider their 101 year old fans who are glad they’re back to their roots of not having any roots.

Seriously, they’d been at Loftus Road for 8 years. Next year they’ll have been at the Ricoh for just as long. Another four and they’ll match their time in Wycombe

This idea that they were some long time community club embedded in their local area is just nonsense. They didn’t even have a permanent ground for the first 56 years.

The fact our fans protested their move more than theirs should tell you how silly going all gammon faced over this is.

That’s the attitude of rugby fans in general. The ones who don’t like football anyway. Cringefest.

“football is a game for gentlemen played by hooligans, and rugby union is a game for hooligans played by gentlemen” etc

Couldn't the delay be simply that all the people who need to be at a joint press call are not available until next week

I think it is important that it is a joint announcement simply because after all the separate announcements and finger pointing of the past it cuts down on misunderstanding or agenda spin. It's good PR for everyone

Suggest everyone relax, enjoy the game today, personally I am confident the deal is done and will happen.

There is no rush after all - it doesn't apply until next season

Any suggestion that Covid will still be 'a thing' next season are suffering from fear propaganda.

Sorry but thats rubbish, Wasps were in north London (Hampstead/Ealing) for the first 50 years, then 73 years in Sudbury.
Is 73 years not long enough for you to embed in a local community then?
I mean 8 years and 73 are nearly comparable!
