Big Ben Turner (4 Viewers)

Well fellow SBT's its been 7 long months since our hero Big Ben Turner was injured against Leeds United, (Nov 6th 2010 actually) and we CCFC supporters are not aware of his current level of fitness or ongoing treatment.

I believe an early remedy was for three months complete rest and then possibly some sort of knee surgery but this apparantly didnt work. The point is, as of today, we don't really know do we??

Big Ben has blossomed from a raw, somewhat erratic but enthusiastic centre back into one of the best centre halves in the Championship.

A first on the teamsheet his displays have been awesome showing a level of maturity way beyond his 22 years, virtually unbeatable in the air a scorer of 4 goals from 14 games in open play last season, vastly improved awareness and a never say die spirit.

Not getting too carried away but at this level of improvement some sort of honours may come his way - what is Ben worth today - take your pick but certainly £2 - £3 million is not outlandish.

So come on CCFC let us know if (my player of the season) is on the road to full recovery by August.

I'd like to think that in the current footballing market, he would be worth around 3m at the very least, but we wouldn't be surprised if he left for half of that given our situation.

Hes not worth 3 mill, hes had what?? half a season where he looks good, i don't think anybody would be willing to spend that kinda of money on still a very much unknown player.

agreed, dont think we'd get more than half a mill! his form before his injury was immense however it wont be easy coming back and trying to hit that same level again!

If he gets that form back and pushes on next season then ive no doubt he'll be a huge player for us, and eventually will be picked up by a prem club at 3 mill or even more but he's at least a full season (maybee longer?) away from that yet ;)

Why would he be worth only 500k?
He is still young at 23 and can only improve when he returns from injury.
Before his injury he was the best player in the championship according to that index thingy.
I would be dissapointed to see him go for less than 2 million

I'm sure this is how SISU sees our players. £££££££.

Selling him doesn't help, it just services the debt for a few months.

Should I have a shit? Ask Brody! Still I suppose its a step on from ask Brolly. I was told in January that he was looking to move to Blues. Not sure if relegation has changed that
