Apparently now extended to Thursday.

Why keep extending it? What is he waiting for?

They reckon there are six bids and Byng's gang isn't one of them, so it might be down to confusion and it's for their benefit?

Oh, I can't see what confusion there could be. They have either bid or they haven't surely?

Byng told the Telegraph that he was a bidder only last night, so I can only guess that there's some ambiguity or confusion about the process rather than him just making it up.

The administrator's statement reads: "Following Friday's deadline, I have received a number of indicative offers for the assets of Coventry City FC Limited.

"I am now inviting all interested parties to provide their best and final offers by noon on Thursday June 13.

"Having discussed the situation with the Football League and with the fixtures for the 2013-14 season due to be published on June 19, I believe the sale process must conclude quickly in order that arrangements can be made for the participation of Coventry City Football Club in the forthcoming season. "

There are only 2 scenarios where the sale process could conclude quickly:

1. SISU are preferred bidders
2. SISU and a.n.other bidder are in advanced negotiations

On balance option 1 seems a 99% certainty

He forgot to put his bid in a letter headed paper.

Well, what do you expect from a SISU puppet? This gives it away:

"I am now inviting all interested parties to provide their best and final offers by noon on Thursday Octvember 33rd.

I have a feeling he's been making things up

I promise I'm not the Les Reid RSS feed or anything:

Byng tells me he's checking email records to see if it got lost in cyberspace! He says administrator checking too

You'd think with all that South-East Asian expertise he'd be able to get the SMTP settings right.

If sisu are so much the best/preferred bidder surely they be no need to extend it if he wants it tied up quickly, something don't add up.....

Embarassing, surely they would have spoken on the phone to confirm it was there etc?

It's not an extension. The deadline was for indicative bids. Thursday is for final bids.

At least it'll be concluded quickly either way. Then I can either get very excited, or find another past time.

I'm pleasantly surprised that they use email rather than fax. Fax just seems so 80s.

June 13th, 6 days before the fixtures are due out. I'd imagine the FL have included us in the list now, irrespective of where/if we are playing !!

You're probably thinking what I'm thinking: Fisher's managed to get that email deleted somehow! The bloody sw*ne! Is there nothing his grubby mitts haven't touched?!?!

He didn't ... he sent it by train. It will turn up eventually ... or not.

I dont think it is an extension as such. He had indicative bids in by last Friday. From those now included in the process, he wants their formal final bids by Thursday, its just the next stage in the process.

As for creditors meeting I think the maximum period he can adjourn is 14 days without holding the meeting again. Perhaps he can the adjourn again buit would need to call a meeting to do it?

Some bidders will drop out but i would guess PA will be getting loads of pressure off both of the main parties in this

That's exactly how I feel. I'll know soon enough whether I have a club to follow. If SISU retain control, I'm gone.

The Asians only interested in the railway - no good for City - Byng a timewaster / publicity seeker now out of the equation - great news.

Appleton says all done before fixtures released on 19 June.

Of course the longer this drags on the more the likely hood he will negotiate a deal to play at the RICOH.
Now TF may say this is massively frustrating for the club sorting its arrangements, Ground wink wink , but gets him massively out of Jail .
