I'm a huge "blues" music lover, particularly early stuff - Howlin' Wolf etc., so I was absolutely thrilled when I watched "Sinners" on Sky Cinema. Okay, so it involves vampires, but the music? Wow! It blows you away! Early blues mixed in with a bit of Irish folk. Amazing! I watched it a few nights ago and today, watched it again! Oh, and I've downloaded the soundtrack. Give it a watch if you like that sort of music.

Was really good the see at the cinema, especially the Irish folk dance scene.

Annoying I saw the second trailer before seeing the film as that's what gave away it was a vampire film.
The first trailer released didn't, and it would have been a nice twist

Sinners is fucking ace, my favourite film of 2025. The soundtrack is a huge part of why, it's incredible

Been enjoying the latest series of The Traitors.

Looks like they've improved the daytime challenges so far as that was always the boring bit imo and they now include a bit more scheming and drama.

Not sure what the point of the "secret" traitor was though if they just unveiled who it was so early. Would have been a lot more interesting if they weren't ever revealed to the public until they get voted out or the final

I love the traitors, but wasn't keen on not knowing who the secret traitor was.

It felt too me like it was taking something away as you were constantly second guessing everything. Was glad when it was ditched, and I feel like the series has picked up since

Yeah fair enough! I thought it would probably split opinion and I guess as they were providing names of who to kill, it would eventually narrow it down anyway.
I quite liked being in the faithful's position for once not knowing who it could be - My guess was completely wrong as well haha

I like the idea of a bit of guesswork for the viewer, I'm not sure about the execution. I suspect they were hoping that the traitors who've gone early on might have been a bit less feckless than they were to keep the intrigue going a bit longer

We watched 28 Days and 28 Weeks over the weekend in preparation to watch 28 Years at home and Bone Temple at the cinema. The drop in quality from Days to Weeks was stark and pretty alarming, Days remains an incredible film all these years later, Weeks is crawling with plot holes and contrivances, the performances are all awful and the opening sequence to the rest of the film is like day and night, most like because Danny Boyle himself directed the opening sequence and nothing else.

I've never watched a single minute of Traitors. Just doesn't appeal to me. Enlighten me to a reason for watching it. Sell it to me.

I just think it's an interesting premise for a show, and I like seeing all the scheming/backstabbing and how the non-traitors are always so far off with their theories.
It's reality TV at the end of the day, so it comes with the usual annoying dramatic music and some contestants trying to be big characters, but I've watched every series so far, and the celebrity version actually had a half decent cast.
There's usually a good mix of personalities as well in the non-celebrity version (ex-detective/police, barristers, builders, etc).

It's the psychology I like about it. Human interaction and behaviour in a restricted environment.

It's like Big Bother, which was actually excellent for the first series, until people cottoned on they could just get famous instantly.

I'm sure Traitors will go the same way, but for now, it's still refreshing and new.

Have noticed contestants being a lot more vocal and outspoken in this series though.

Yeah same. It's definitely more of a social game rather than intelligence based.
Everyone thought Stephen Fry would be some mastermind and figure it all out, but even he said it doesn't mean much as it's more about reading people and seeing patterns in behaviour.

The celebrity one is coming back later this year. Hopefully it's not going to stoop to Love Islanders and YouTubers

It's a rare 'event' entertainment show, one with more strategy and psychology to it than most. Declaring something symptomatic of society dumbing down without ever seeing it is a bit odd

Took the kids to see Zootropolis 2 last weekend, thought it was a great watch, think I enjoyed it more than the kids, the first one is worth a watch too.

I suspect Harriet's exit was a bit of that, going from silent assassin to mad fucker in the space of a single episode can't have hurt searches and sales.

Yeah I do find it slightly sad that they keep playing up the STAGGERING jackpot of FIFTY THOUSAND POUNDS when most of the contestants know they can make that in a handful of paid appearances if they play their cards right.
