finally watched the last one tonight. i needed to build up to it.
honestly... i thought it was excellent. but then i'm a secret fan of the prog heavily referenced in it. (trying not to spoil it for anyone.) and pure comedy that RA was in it!

right, i need to watch them all again now.

Brassic! (Netflix).

So much more than the sum of its parts.

Only on the second series, but absolutely loving it.

I know the conversation has moved on, but Hot Fuzz is probably my favourite too.

Although, one gag I loved in Shaun of the Dead is when Bill Nighy's character says he had his jabs when he "went to the Isle of Wight".

Don't know why, always got me.

A few episodes into the new series of Sherwood on BBC. First episode was a bit boring, but it's picked up in the second and third.

Some of the accents are absolutely ridiculous though, can't work out which ones are genuine or not

Rebel Ridge - Netflix

Rubbish title, great movie.

Just think of Rambo First Blood, but with a lot more brains and better acting.

Really recommend it

Have seen some of the ratings, it's an easy watch but wouldn't rate it that high.

Recently saw 3 films I’d definitely recommend…
Kneecap - which I think someone mentioned earlier. Lots of fun I thought but might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Have been listening to their music quite a bit since.

Zone of Interest - horrific but in the the most mundane sort of way. I found the ending to be particularly disturbing. Would be interested to see what others think.

Poor Things - again, might not be for everyone but I loved it. Kinda fantastical. I watched this on a plane and was very conscious of some the scenes…fortunately the woman next to me was also watching it so my slight embarrassment was some what relieved!

Started Colin from Accounts over the weekend on BBC iPlayer. Very good, nearly done the first series now.

Got told off by the wife for laughing too loud at it last night

Anyone been watching Rings of Power on Amazon?
I'm a big Lord of the Rings fan/nerd, but it's such painful watching. Considering they've thrown so much money at it, and the writing and sets are just so poor.

Only good character is Sauron, and think I only keep watching to see what he gets up to

Pachinko on Apple TV
Into the 2nd season now very good
review here

Pachinko review – a sumptuous South Korean epic like nothing else on TV

Min Jin Lee’s bestselling novel gets a tantalising adaptation that sweeps back and forth from Korea in 1915 to Japan’s Wall Street era. It’s a rollercoaster ride through time and space

Just watched for the second time a rarer Tarantino film called From dusk to Dawn with a young George Clooney , Harvey Keitel , Salma Hayek in full gorgeous form and a load of Mexican vampires - all jolly good spiffing fun err not for younger viewers

I watched Uglies on Netflix last night. Possibly the worst idea for a sci fi movie ever. I can take a few plot holes but this was more a plot fishnet. Terrible all round and doesn’t even have an ending, instead setting up for a sequel. I’m not going to watch your sequel cos the first one was garbage.

Definitely adds fuel to the Tarantino foot fetish fire when he gives himself the role of drinking tequila from her toes

Watching it right now, Daz.

Haven't laughed much at all, but am finding it enjoyable all the same.

Lovely, easy-going fare. Am on episode 3.

Two episodes in, it starts with him saying that he's not going to reveal too much but already he's said "It wasn't rape but even if it was the statute of limitations ran out", what the fuck

I've just finished episode two and like you, I'm enjoying it because of the nostalgia. Between 98/99 - 01/02 I was mad for it (and I would imagine most teenagers), the 'Attitude' era. Though I think when they pull the curtain away, considering what I've watch so far, will be more controversial.

I was coming to post this exact thing. Saying something like that settles it for me, "even if it was, the statute of limitations ran out". Using that as an argument or defence, leads me to believe many of the other accusations. For example the 'ring boys', if McMahon was such a workaholic and controlling, would he really not know?

Currently watching Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon. Couldn’t stand the guy, but have to say, this is actually an interesting series. Some of it is staged but the whole is better than the sum of its parts.
