You’ve got to remember the OP thought Robins shits himself at this level, wanted us to sign Gnadullet and basically could write their entire knowledge of the game on the back of a postage stamp

Doesn’t change the midfield pairing will be Kelly and Hamer, tbh this was more to do with people debating it with me who will be with Hamer most felt it was gonna be sheaf...we are a better side with Kelly

Back on planet earth you were telling us Robins was doing all he could to get rid of him last summer and look how that turned out. Robins clearly rates Sheaf.

Kelly & Hamer will be the pairing moving forward, when he’s done well I’ve said that but he’s always got that mistake in him

Players who are developing are going to makes mistakes. Sheaf will go on to play at a more prestigious career than Kelly.

We got back in tbe game as o hare had a far better influence on it. Kelly has durability and experience which he uses to good effect - his passing and offensive work isn’t championship level. So if o hare is out or out of form prepare to be disappointed

The age thing will only last so long.

From a child, everybody is taught to not play suicide passes and play the way they're facing. It's basic football and he is meant to be a professional from one of the best club's in the world academies.

I'm not expecting him or any of our players to be 100% every game, but with Sheaf he's consistently fucking up and it's costing us. Why there's even a debate about this, is beyond me.
Ok the debate is

Sheaf makes a mistake we are all waiting for it and crow for hours others do the same it’s forgotten

Sheaf does something good it’s not really mentioned and people mention consistency

Other players do well it’s rewarded with a well played

It’s balance

As oggy said Robins picked him and who are we to argue against it

Wonder who the Celtic scout was watching today as reported on CWR? Kelly is a good organiser and breaks up play. Great shot today for the equalizer. Hamer should get better and Sheaf as well. Rose dropped a bollock in the second half and got away with it, Sheaf didn't. Kelly and Hamer for me, but Kelly wont go on for ever and has a tendency to pick up injuries. Hopefully Sheaf will step up like he did against Fulham.

The second goal wasn’t just his poor pass - we had plenty of time to clear it

I thought Sheaf was one of our better players in the first half apart from the 2nd goal. There is definitely a player there, which is obviously what MR believes too. The most disappointing aspect of the goal was his reaction, or rather his failure to react after making the initial mistake. If he had chased back to make up for that error Gallagher would have struggled to score. I don't see the value into making this a Kelly v Sheaf contest as they will both play their part this season.

No mention of the other midfield pairing that saw us nigh on top of the league after 8/9 games?!?

I think he continues to rotate and they’ll all get plenty of minutes.

Hamer is a better footballer than Ben sheaf, the sooner this forum realises that the better.

5 yard wizard with with a mistake in him too often for my liking

The obsessive attacks on him are odder.
He’s a young player that Robins has seen enough in to decide he’s worth developing. The boo boys strangely miss the flashes of brilliance he shows.

nonsense , he was directly the cause .

You should know better , however you rate sheaf so you're passing the book .

It was his fault Full stop !

And he almost put us in the shit 20 seconds after the restart from the goal too

Good player who will improve. Got a clanger in him defensively so would probably benefit from playing further up the pitch until he irons out the odd mistake.

Fadz and Hyam prone to a clanger last season. Improved. No reason Sheaf won’t be the same.

Be good if we can wrap this up and not have to hear cc84 droning on about todays mistake for months….

Kelly had a great second half. The guy never let's us down. Sheaf had a shocker and tbh o hare was dreadful first half. In fact first half we weren't great at all, hyam and dabo were all over the shop with their communication and wavelength

Sheaf is inconsistent no doubt, but when he’s on song, 2nd haves v Forest and Fulham, and the Reading game, he is some player. A clever passer who can link play seamlessly. He will get better, and Robins has the luxury of rotating his midfield with Allen, Hamer and Kelly all fit. Eccles should be back in January too.

I probably wouldn't start him in games where we're likely to be under pressure and need to switch the ball quickly. At home I'd have no issues starting him against anyone

And he's right.
This an insane pass from Rose, you can even see Fadz telling him to go back to Moore, but instead he absolutely fires a hard pass, bollock height to Sheaf, facing his own goal with a man on his back.

Yes, Sheaf should then do better undoubtedly but this is one of many errors Rose made today too, yet he's being heralded as Man of the Match by plenty on social media.
This is what many of us mean about having a bit of balance.

This is a strange statement.

1) we all know that Hamer is a better footballer than Sheaf, I haven't seen anyone say otherwise.

2) why is it important the forum realises sooner the better. So we can boo him? So we can slate every mistake he makes? So we can boo Robins if he picks him ahead of Hamer again?

I'd like to see it bk but my pal was disgusted saying he trotted back. Tbf I don't think sheaf can sprint, certainly never seen it. He's more a plodder
