With stokes recent exploits he’s now it seems joined an exclusive club of 6 cricketers who have made 4,000 runs and 150 wickets

Without looking who are the other 5? Two are I think easy, one fairly easy, 1 I always forgot his bowling pedigree despite being a world famous name - the other I’d never have got in a million years

Not certain on most of these except Kallis:

Kallis
Botham
Sobers (Not Viv Richards as I originally put!)
Kapil Dev
Imran Khan

Hadlee must be up there, but imo Freddie was still our best but for some very unlucky injuries. Perhaps not the technique of Stokes but for pure power and oace with bat and ball he was so far ahead for tgat 18 month period. Ultimately the physique that gave him that strength was also his weakness.

Afridi?
Sobers

I really wanna say Warne but I doubt his batting?

I’m struggling for any others

Yeah lot better batsman than I thought. Broad has scored 3,200 and would have blitzed it if his batting hadn’t fell apart
Just checked Hadlee and only scored a few more than Broad, but considerably better averages with both bat and ball but only played 86 tests v 139.
