What we have to remember Is that he was playing as a kid the level above ,and i appreciated the two or three managers he worked under giving him his chance ,something we all appreciate currently about the team set-up and Budget setting meaning home produced youth In the squad.
Was he really any more error prone than than say Richard Wood?

Totally agree he was thrown into the deep end, similar to our current team but i think he went through a patch of howlers which cost us games. I think we were forced to play him out of lack of options but i suppose this is what has made the player (which Cardiff are benefitting from:( )

I remember thinking the same with Kirkland when i watched him the in youth team, he was missing everything but then become a decent keeper, shame injuries knackered him.
I also watched Kirkland in youth team games, and thought he looked poor, even at that level.
A few years later we sell him for £5m+, and he looks like a rock, albeit a glass one, as it turns out.

If it was 750k then Cardiff got a bargain.

What's he worth now? 4 mill?

Don't think he'd go for anything near that to be honest.

You have to remember he's in a team second from bottom of the Premier League.

Always liked him as a player to be honest, but seemed to be out a lot through injury whilst with us.

I remember people on this forum claiming persistently saying he was no good and slow.. and to think I got slaughtered for saying he had great potential and wasn't at all slow (for a defender).
