More chance of us signing Messi, never going to happen. If he leaves Chelsea he’ll go to a lower prem team or even the MLS. Not a chance he’d drop to the wages we’d pay

People turning their noses up at a 28 year old who’s played 19 times for England and won the champions league 😂😂😂
Amazing isn’t it. It’s because people have actually heard of him and seen him play.

If he was called Miguel Anguel Chilwell and not Ben people would be on flight radar by now trying to convince everyone he’s the next Roberto Carlos.

He's only missed 14 games through injury in the last 2 years? He's just not picked.

According to Transfermarkt he missed 3 months Oct to Nov 2023 with a hamstring injury. (14 league, 2 league cup and 1 fa cup games), march/April with knee/ illness (4 league games) then April to May 2024 with more knee issues (5 league games). We have no idea what fitness issues he was having whilst he wasn't being picked.

Not a chance anyone with a brain drops from over 100k a week to 20/25, he’d be a great signing though but it’s unrealistic
While I don't think we'll sign him - I don't think Chilwell could expect much in wages from anyone based on the lack of games he's played last 3 years. A solid stint at his next club is what he needs and if you were him, joining us doesn't seem that crazy of a proposition - manager he likes, would instantly be the starting LB, good style of play, likely to be challenging at the top.

Just because he's on 100k now doesn't mean the next offer he'll get will put him anywhere near that figure.

He’d be class don’t get me wrong, I just think he could go the mls or Saudi for easily on over 100k a week as he’s still a name somewhat

Chilwell 😭

He’s reportedly on 200k a week. We could cover 1/10 of that at a push. Makes no sense for Chelsea at all.
For chelsea it makes sense, they need shot of around 7 players and he was reportedly gonna be paid off.
For him.... makes zero sense unless he's willing to lose a massive % of pay.

The deal is impossible if it doesn’t make sense for Chilwell and Chelsea are incentivised to remove that barrier

I doubt we are going to sign him, although most people didn't think Burnley would sign Walker.

Unless we are letting Bidwell go, I don't see why we are trying to sign another LB. CB and RW should be the priority.

I think we are trying to sign a CB and that's it.
I really can't see that there is any truth in this rumour.

I think it will just be one CB and maybe cover if we sell MVE. Playing devil's advocate, if we did sign Chilwell, maybe Lampard see Brau as more of a EMC cover. So would leave us with Dasilva and Chilwell at left back, Bidwell to cover LB and LCB at a push?

James Justin, last seen 2 years ago searching for Tats in Tesco car park, has just gone to Leeds for £10m so i wouldn't be surprised to see Chilwell end up back at Incester.

I didn't think Brau looked out of place in his short spell at LB on Saturday
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fuck sake mate, Elvis Fucking Presley wouldn't of looked out of place against QPR on Saturday 🤣🤣🤣🤣

He literally came on at 7-0 up and game over. What were you expecting????

I quite liked him going forward at Bristol Rovers and ok v Luton. I hope he starts tonight. But I thought he got caught out of position a couple of times on Saturday. Good on the ball, but defensively a bit raw. Hopefully it's a case of learning the position and getting used to the pace. Definitely talented and puts himself about a bit too.

You made a bloody daft point mate.

In fact we conceded a goal through an attack that came down our left side, that we didn't deal with due to Brau being out of position, that meant Kitching had to come across to deal with, and ended up giving away the free kick that QPR scored from.

But if you think he looked good, then good for you. 🙈

ChilwelI isn't happening, these is no way we can make the finances work.

Either him and/or Chelsea are going to have to give up £100k+ a week and even then I can't see how we are the best placed club to pick up the slack.

Even if there was some utopian outcome where he just wants to restart a new here, he'd be mad with his injury record to give up the security of his Chelsea contract.

Brau was in the correct position marking a player and Kitching came across to foul another QPR player just in front of them. If Brau would have gone to the player that Kitching fouled he would have left the other player free behind him.

If we "just need a signing", irrespective of quality or any other considerations, then I will let FL know that I'm available. There will be no transfer or signing on fee required and I'm happy with £500 a week to supplement my state pension.

Hopefully I will stand a chance because I'm a left back. As in left back behind when God handed out the footballing talent.

👍
I was always left back in the changing rooms! 🤣

Kitching came across because he wanted to kick their bloke as revenge for Bobby lol. It was pure retaliation
