Wasn’t Maddison much the same when he first went to Norwich loaned out for a while too.
Have him around the first team squad, few sub appearances to pick up the difference in pace and level. May go out on loan in Jan but won't be back here. From Preston's perspective better to pay 2m last summer and have his progress under your control than risk the price doubling next summer and more competition for his signature.Just seems mad that you'd buy a players for a couple of mil, and not play him at all?
It was more Daniel Farke who started playing Maddison at Norwich wasn't it? Makes you wonder where Maddison would be now if Farke didn't turn up.
