I will say this for the last time now. My eldest lad was a season ticket holder with Motherwell the 3 seasons Jennings was with them. One of the main reasons they are in the Champions league this season. He has left them as he wants to move back to England. Plays same role as Deegan, but is much better at it. Only 5'7" but stocky. Not knocked off the ball easily. Wins most tackles.

Barton is Norwoods replacement I would think, he has been described by PNE as being a great passer and having quality. Sounds very much like a playmaking midfielder to me which Norwood was

Everything I have read from PNE says he is very talented but lacks work rate an is lazy

Right well, hopefully he shows dome more energy for us. Just a striker for me then. Maybe a defensive midfielder if Kilbane won't be fit all the time and Brown is not comfortable there.
But priority has to be to get s striker and keep wood and hussey.

Very interesting! Mixed views - but all seem to say it was attitude rather than lack of talent.

The last few years the spirit within our squad has been very good and I think he'll fit in well.

The players gave their all last season IMO - just weren't good enough (or old enough).

Only a couple in there saying they didn't rate him whatsoever. Even the one's that said they weren't bothered with him leaving said he had ability. Sounds like he needs to be coached right. Also promising is that most of them said he was coming good just before his injury. Just hope he can find that form again.

Finally, what a plonker at the end!
