It's a 6-a-side indoor tournament, celeb managers (mostly YouTube people and a few ex footballers) 30min games with the last 3 mins of each half having some modifier rule in place like 3v3 or long range shots counting double..stuff like that. Teams are mostly made up of ex academy lads that didn't make the cut or unattached players.

They are trying to spin it that this new format gives a route back into the game for players, a way to showcase their talents. Not sure it's gonna work, totally different set of skills.

That looks and sounds awful, but indoor football can be genuinely exciting. Futsal's pretty popular in many parts of the world isn't it, I think. I remember the Soccer Six in the late 80s; that was fun (I was there when David Speedie played rush-back for us).

I've watched highlights of a fair few games and it's so stop start. Part of what makes small numbers games great for me is the pace and the relentless feel of it. Penalty corners and the Gamechanger sh*te kills that for me. Feels like football for people that don't really like and / or have never really played team sports.

I actually played in that once when my mates band imploded after they had signed up a team, he had to scramble a squad of missfits the day before.

My only highlight was bloody Tony Warner (ex Millwall GK) chucking himself full length on a crap 3g sandy pitch to deny my shot

Just put of interest I looked up the line up for the year I played to see if any of the smaller bands made it and it turns out Tom Grennan was on the line up! Zero clue who most of them were bar the biggest bands.

Anyhow enough bragging about sharing the hallowed turf with stars like Honey G..

We lost all 3 group games, a lot of the the other teams had ex pro ringers which didn't help!
