Ball Boys (8 Viewers)

Noticed the Sunderland ball boys were 'trained' last night to throw the balls back to the Sunderland players and leave on the ground for the Coventry players.

I've noticed all season at the CBS the ball boys are never helpful to our players. Sometime they want the ball quickly and the ball boys look uninterested and the players have to fetch the balls themselves

Anyone any knowledge on how they are instructed at the CBS?

Ball boys are supposed to behave the same at every ground. They aren’t supposed to hand the ball back to the players. The players should pick the ball up from the nearest cone, and all ball boys do is replace the ball on the cone.

Doesn’t seem to get enforced and few fans know the rule.

People keep saying this, yet pretty much every away game we play, they have ball boys who have no clue what they are doing.

We have 10-year-olds where the football is as big as they are and can't catch and have no clue.

someone posted about this last night and I replied to question if this was still in place because there was zero effort to enforce it.

our ballboys seem to do what they are told no matter how much the crowd gets on their back. they only seem to give the ball to the player if the player directly asks, otherwise they leave them to pick one up off the cone.

They also have no clue when to rush or go slow.

It doesn't help that they are usually kids football teams or something and change every week so they are just happy to be there.

That’s only a premier league rule isn’t it?
