Interesting following the incident at Wolves the PL have issued instructions that ball boys should no longer return balls to players, the ball should be taken from the nearby cone if required. PL have said ball boys playing silly buggers gives the home side an advantage.

Does it only apply to Premier League though?
It's like the no towels rule, I think that only applies to certain competitions?

Feels like ballboys are in for a hell of a lot more abuse if they’re officially banned from tossing the ball to a home player trying to take a throw in a hurry.

So what will the penalty be. Yellow card for miscreant ball retrievers? Award of throw in to opposition? Retake of any throw in?
