There was a traffic accident earlier in the week, claimed the life of one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet

Bal Bains was a guy who always had a smile and cheered up any conversation, he loved his cricket. Bal played and coached cricket in the local area, I knew him through Highway Cricket Club where he helped coach my lad. Always made it a good place to be. We will miss him.

RIP my friend and my best wishes & sympathy to his family

Couldn't agree more. Played with him at Highway, and was a great team mate and coach. Always happy, encouraging the youngsters. Never would say no, and would do anything for you. Such a nice person and did a lot for my cricket development.

Will be badly missed, and thoughts go out to his family. RIP

I think this is the same guy I used to see now and again in The Royal Oak in Earlsdon. Seemed to recognize his picture. Never spoke to him but he always spoke enthusiastically about cricket. Seemed a really nice bloke. RIP.
