Suicide to play with 4 attackers. None of whome hold it up.

Teams are bossing our 2 man midfield.

Asante doesn't sit in.

Its suicide got away with it against Blackburn and and Watford.

Absolutely bossed in midfield.

Please please change it lampard! We are too good to rely on. 50/50 chance.

Its schoolboy tactics. So much better once Eccles and Torp come on.

It's not rocket science science..let's get back to the solid team we were vs Birmingham / Millwall etc.

I said exactly the same thing against Portsmouth and got laughed at on here by the usual suspects. That 2 man midfield just doesn't work.

What, the game we won?

Yes it is possible to win a game even with a bad system, Portsmouth didn't have the quality to capitalise on our mistakes.
In other words, we were better than them?

Hopefully it’s the last game Allen comes on the pitch! 1 good game in 5 isnt what we need anymore. He was completely out of his depth tonight
I dont think he was actually bad. Him and Grimes can't cover everything! With 4 attackers not tracking back. Wtf !

Once their defenders won the ball.. our firward players were left standing...it's ridiculous how many times like literally every 10 mins it's been 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4 at the back.

This. We were totally overran in midfield. I am baffled why Frank didn’t change it at half time, or within 10 mins of the restart.

It was so, so predictable, and naive and/or arrogant not to introduce Eccles and Torp earlier.

What’s worrying me a bit is while I get the chaos element to our play, we’ve seemingly lost a lot of control in games.

Not sure what to do mind as the options are currently very limited

genuine questions

1) who do you play in midfield given Andrews is basically a kid who isn't ready and has a handful of minutes and torp and eccles aren't fit enough to start and could break down if they have to play say an hour or so.

2) For 5 at back 5-2-3 still only has 2 midfielders and also who comes in tonight and plays as the 3rd cb?

Both and or 1 should have come on at half time.

Yeah don’t think Lampard really had good options.

Maybe you could have gone the 5-4-1 and moved Bidwell to left CB and Kitching into the centre. But lets be honest, if Bidwell is our starting CB we’d be in trouble all night

that's the thing, he didn't play allen and grimes because we really wanted to. That is what he had fit to start the game.

No, you're wrong. Lampard wanted to lose
