Well they do. This thread is about away support.

I'm sure we can knock many things about Blues, but their away support isn't one of them.

Yes it is about away support but read your post concerning their owners that’s what I was responding to. If we had been in Coventry and not moved out twice we would not have had thousands of fans who no longer go to home games a proportion would have gone to away games.
so I was not knocking Blues in any way I was knocking your statement regarding their owners.

Gone down hill massively in recent years. Suppose the performances on the pitch haven't help. They used to be in the top 5 in the country for me in terms of noise and numbers.

Brilliant.

I'd imagine we'd have overtaken Middlesbrough and Sheffield United if the fixture list was kinder. Preston and Wigan midweek took a hit. We'd have taken 4500 to both on a Saturday.

Do they put out the same stats for the PL?

Due to limited away allocations I can't imagine many PL teams get much over 2k

Probably why they're so quiet when they get there.

If you lived in sunderland you would want to get out as much as possible.

I think we've finished 6th this season with an average of 2292 .

And to upset leeds even more , I think sunderland have the best away average at just under 3000

Do they get bigger allocations or just sell out more consistently?

Not sure if I'm totally honest, they had more at our place which tbh , could have tilted it as the numbers are about 30 apart

Leeds had smaller allocations overall, didn't get bottom tier at Millwall or QPR, and less at our place.

As for us, only 4 games out of 24 where we didn't sell our full allocation. Good going that.

Us selling out 19 away ends must be a record for us as a club

Would love a comparison to 10 years ago. Wouldn't be surprised if there were no more than 3 clubs over 2000.

Great effort from Wednesday considering what a poor season it's been. Though both them and Leeds boosted by the 7k Blackburn gave them.

I’d say the most impressive is Plymouth and the least Norwich.
