:ROFLMAO: I've just read this on the Charlton forum. It sounds like something our fans would say back in those few seasons we generated incredible atmosphere.

Yeah that's it! Not because we are giving our own fans more seats...

Yeah because I find it baffling. I've never once decided not to go to a game because I'm scared of the opposition!

Are West Brom fans not turning up to Coventry because they are scared of us and not Ipswich away?
hurts more if we do them

but if that seat map above is correct it isn't as bad as believed, not full but not empty

Great news. Need to try and maximise all the seats we can. Now just need to look at the balcony and see if there’s anything we can do in both short and long term to get more people there

Mate about another whole block 9 gone on sale as WBA havnt even sold their their first allocation.

Reckon WBA will bring 1k.

Attendance will be 28k

Woukd have been 31k if pricing wasn't ridiculous.

Charlton will be a bigger attendance.
If it is above 30k.

Out of interest, what will your opinion be?

That is was still stupidity?
Or that commercially it was a great decision with litt or no impact on atmosphere or attendance?
Or that ethically it just wasn’t right and that’s all?
Or that it doesn’t matter any way?

That looks more than the two rows you see.

I'm sure you're aware that in casual speech "couple" can be used interchangeably as a word for few.

If I'd been aware that I was being scored on the formality of my literacy I would've used a different word

I'd missed when they went on general sale previously, so just managed to bag 3 together for family members. Back in the good books!

I'm a bit annoyed, I brought an extra ticket in a different block for a family member for boxing day, as there wasnt any seats near our STs at the time. But now Block 9 is open - but they wont move us all into there. Cant do it after the time of purchase apparently.

When are they going to release the Ipswich and Leicester home tickets, thought these would be on sale by now
Interesting to see what category Ipswich is classed as. Horrible kick off time & only being 3 days later than Swansea, you would like to think it would be as low as possible

Am I the only one who thinks it's a great kick off time, I know it's not officially a bank holiday but loads of people will be off anyway, not to late for the kids and for adults drinks before and after. Win win 😉

Personally i've always preferred the larger away allocations.

Even back to the Highfield Road days..... didn't matter who the opposition was, if they were bringing a full 4000 it just made it better.

Me too. That's what the FA Cup retains it's magic. Entire stands full of away fans makes the atmosphere better.

Based on a 3k reduction in ticket sales it would actually represent a 55k loss (assuming full adult ticket price). Doug only profits if the drop off is less than circa 1800 ticket sales.
CCFC only profits if the drop off is less than circa 1800 ticket sales.

We really need to get away from this idea that the clubs finances are operated from a shoebox under Doug Kings bed
