Yet you just know it will be top notch v Sheff Utd. Weird isn't it ? (the 12.30 kick offs don't help)

I doubt it.

We've had 3pm matches this season and it's not made a difference. £3.60 pints hasn't either.

Block 15 and 16 done their part again, but it's the wankers in the South Stand that aren't. By the time the song gets to the fans by the away fans, it's died down to nothing.

Half of block 14-16 don't join in either. You can see people sat down and not making an effort.

It's probably the lack of jeopardy in games. We are being spoilt with 2 or 3 goals in the first half of most games and they are all but over by then.
Will be interesting too see if it picks up if we go behind in a game.

The atmosphere during the game did feel a little muted and I was surprised at the lack of PUSB and Coventry Homes.

But I have to say: The atmosphere before the game was utterly incredible, I've never known a pre-match experience like it. The staff were all in fine fettle, the fans were in a great mood (and was great to see a few Watford fans dotted around the fan zone), just all very celebratory and fun. Makes me want to get there earlier!

We havent “moved the away fans round” we’ve moved the home fans and you’ve chosen to sit further away from the away fans.
Oh course the away fans have moved. They used to be directly behind the goal and closer to blocks 14 and 15. Now they stop at blocks 8 and 9 and arent directly behind the goal. The blocks that are now there are full of people sitting down. What should've happened, is the noisy lot from 14/15/16 should've all moved left and sat under the scoreboard. Closer to the away end.

The obvious lack of songs also doesn't contribute to the atmosphere. The EMC song is catchy but its sang non stop even when the guy isn't on the pitch! Other than the Bobby Thomas song, the rest of our players barely get a mention (mostly because the songs are shite). More imagination is definitely needed on that front imho.
Yeah the current songbook is rubbish. Players playing out of their skin and very little originality coming back from the stands. “Super Carl Rushworth in goal” ffs!

Away fans are where they've generally always been but you're right. People didn't move and it led to 'new' fans moving into the South Stand and sitting down all game.

Exactly. You can’t complain you are sat further from the away fans if you refuse to sit in the block by the away fans. Everyone told people this is what would happen and instead they let some silly nostalgia about “singers corner” stop them from making the obvious move.

And there is no real 'nostalgia' with singers corner. The noisy/singers block has moved before, so why couldn't it move again? I feel there wont be that opportunity to do so now and it will be what it is. New ST holders behind the goal will be reluctant to move to allow the noise makers move en-mass, and its pointless moving over bit by bit amd splitting up the singers it'll just make it worse.

Yeah the time to do it was first season when there was loads of space there even after the season started.

top of the league you’d of thought it would be rocking for 90 mins ?
My thoughts exactly yesterday. There were good moments but also flat moments. Heard a lot of moaning too. Think we’ve already become very entitled. It’s going to be a tough atmosphere if we do go up and aren’t winning every game.

And what would you suggest. 🤔

I think it's mainly because most games are done and dusted early doors. I can definitely see a vast improvement if we're chasing a game.

Also important to note, even where the atmosphere is at now - it's still better than 90% of the league

Lack of atmosphere ? Yeah a little at times. A bit like the Birmingham game though and with a similar story. Your leading comfortably, the opposition are a player down and it’s not going to be nail biting close run thing where you need to really get behind your team. The story on the pitch rightly or wrongly will raise or temper the noise.

Take it away then, maestro.

At every Enemy gig, it's incredible. An easy, unique song which keeps going.

Imagine singing it when we are chasing a game. Perfect.
nah, 1 z-tier landfill indie song is enough and I say this as some who has known them from when they were basically bridges

The Birmingham game was easier for starters. Watford did a good job of stifling the performance.
