As strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided (8 Viewers)

We need to sort this out. If people are going to bitch and moan and squabble with each other the second shit hits the fan on the pitch, we have a very bleak five years ahead of us.

We need to show unity in these times of hardship, but instead people are bitching about who does and doesn't go to six fields. It's exhausting...god knows we have enough problems without turning on each other.

Fully agreed. If Leeds or a team like that were in this position, they would be united and be back at their home ground within a couple of weeks. Even tho I love CCFC, I wish we had a more united fanbase

Yes,Yes, Home matches at the Ricoh, as the majority say Coventry not Northampton.

Before it sets off another bitching thread. I mean any big club. Leeds, Newcastle, Liverpool, man u.... Anyone. But my point still remains the same.

Yep, I see your point. But we're not a big club. Don't want to get into a big bitching session about it.

It's on the internet. In real life it's not like this.

Very true, there are a few on here who would be dead long ago if they were as abusive in real life as they are when they know there will be no swift retribution..

the mantra that seems to be adhered to, by our owners,
in regard to our fans, is,
divide & conquer

I think many of our fans do that as well

We are united though. Nearly 90% of last seasons attendees aren't attending this year.

If it was the opposite way round (90% were attending) you would say the fanbase were still united behind the club.

Yeah you're probably right, I think like Hills said it's only on here people are squabbling...just notice it more cause I'm always lurking!

OK ... How do you solve the issue of 90% of fans are avoiding sixfields because they believe it is the best way to get the club back to Coventry. Yet 10% of fans attend sixfields and apparently void the protest?

You cant - by taking a position that attending sixfields is "wrong" or not helping to quickly starve out sisu, there is a sort of siege mentality at sixfields - the outliers - I think the guilt has been replaced by a feeling of digging in for the winter.

Personally I don't think SISU have any sort of credible plan - certainly not for a new ground - think we all agree on that. However, their cost base is so lean they have probably already rebudgeted for the rest of the year with the income from 1500 people only. After the end of this season? Who knows? Could be back to where we were this summer.

Blimey stupot you are taking a big risk saying we are not a big club.I got jumped on when I said it--but of course you
are correct.
I put it down to the cosmopolitan nature of the City when support grows if we are doing well, but dwindle's rapidly when
the team struggle. The Ricoh should not be big enough for the support a City the size of Coventry should generate.
Imagine though how well the Club could do if it had the Ricoh full every other week.

It's been said time and time again, but it's the nature of the city. Always people moving here from other town/countries. For me, my grandparents are from Scotland, Jamaica, South Africa and Plymouth. They've no affiliation with CCFC. A lot of others will be the same. It's not a 5 generation city like other places.

Absolutely spot on. Those that do have a longer association with the City are generally more rugby minded.

Yeah, the quotes tags were in the wrong place on the post before mine and being on my phone I couldn't be arsed to sort it. It's fine.
