It looked on side, one of their defenders (may have been right back as it was over that way) looked to be playing him on.

I think the ref and lino had a bit of a stinker, they got their pen but how their Lino didn't see their defender have Lamieries by the throat I don't know.

There was one where Stokes knew he was offside so he put his hands up and stood still. Before the ball went anywhere near him he was flagging.

2nd half 'goal' was offside for sure. Not by much but they got that one right.

However, would you have faith in an officials team who couldn't even work out that their 1st half shirts of green were
actually a colour clash with Rochdale's shirts ?

I'll watch it again, could be wrong as I only saw it at the time but it did look onside. Couldn't really see the penalty.

All the key decisions looked correct today, though I thought the ref seemed to slow down the play quite a bit.

The 1st offside goal I thought looked on.

I thought arma was onside...and the Lino was not up with play.
We should have had two penalties second half. One hands on players throat the other a blatant two handed shove in the back.

No, ball in from the left and side-footed into bottom corner, unless I dreamed it !!

That's the one Lino was well out of position.

I completely forgot about that, hadn't the whistle already gone when he scored?

Highlights confirm that the first was offside, even though Armstrong tied to do a little jink to get himself onside. Second also looks offside but would need to freeze frame.

Just watched, first was offside, second wasnt I dont think. The player by Fortune was playing him on

If you freeze frame it shows ads

Having watched the highlights again, I'd say the second was definitely onside. All 3 officials were inconsistent bellends today although that's hardly new in this pathetic excuse of a league.

I was sat in line with the second one and I was sure at the time that he was onside, as were people around me.

Mowbray's analyst saying the second goal was onside, and the extended highlights appear to support this.

First decision - Offside. Relects poorly on Armstrong. Especially as he can use the 22 as a guide.

Second decision - Offside. At first glance I thought he was at least level but after seeing it a couple of times his knee and head are ahead of the last man. The lines from the mower make it a bit clearer.

not sure how you can call it from simply looking at the provided photos, making allowances for angles.

If you use the lines on the pitch as a guide it certainly looks onside.

On there though, there is a split second where the ball has moved away from Murphy's foot

It was onside. The twitter photo is taken after ball contact. If you magnify the second of the photos I uploaded you'll see the white trail of the ball, confirming that the photo is taken after ball contact, at which time Armstrong is onside. Difficult decision for the RA, but there you go.

To be honest, if we can't make our minds up and have to freeze frame and 1 frame/0.1 second is the difference between looking offside or looking onside, then it really isn't that bad a decision by the linesman by the naked eye.

In as much that is was a difficult decision, then it certainty wasn't an outrageous decision. In that the lino got it wrong, and therefore changed the game, it was a bad decision!
