Or hive! I wouldn't want a black and yellow Christmas though.

I see the Wasp's haven't allowed us to have it at their nest.

Just got back, was great! Players were good with the kids and plenty for them to do. Players were mingling and doing stuff with the kids.

Top marks to the volunteers who were doing all the crafts and organising it! Well worth it.

My daughter won Marcus Tudgay's Boots and a signed first team shirt !!

Although I didn't get the kid running round in a man utd strip? Bit random.

Was good to see the kids do still love CCFC, some of their faces having a kickabout with the players was like it had made their Christmas.

Johnson wasn't there though, and is also "injured". Don't know if that was anything a bit shady.

Thanks Nick ;) I was one of them today (as in previous years). Was on the tombola if you had a go!

The other volunteers do put a lot of effort in week in week out.

Should also mention that couple of club staff who put the event together with the help of is volunteers.

Seemed like every one who attended had an enjoyable time.

Merry Christmas all :D

How is all of that funded? Didn't see any collection buckets and stuff.

Can only comment on the family zone stuff, and that's all through donations (was a list on the wall to 'thank' companies and individuals who had donated this yr), either in the form of physical prizes, or cash for prizes and materials (for crafts etc).

Other stuff outside of the stalls we were on (santa's grotto, SBITC smoothie bikes and the indoor football etc) were all laid on (and I would guess funded) by the club

Fair play for the grotto, was half expecting it to be a fiver or something!

Would have happily put a tenner in a bucket on the way out.

Yeah, it was a great afternoon so well done to the Club, volunteers and the Players who made it special for the kids. My lad was still talking about playing football with Madine, McQuoid, etc. even as he fell asleep. He's one contented CCFC fan.

I also have to say that the demise of the next generation of Coventry City fans has been greatly exaggerated.

I wouldn't have let the kids in with Chelsea, Utd and Real Madrid tops in though!

Yeah I agree, all those kids running around having a kick around with the players it was like the best day ever for them. I saw Madine walking through to do the signings and he had a bit of a sweat on!

Had a quick word with Madine. Said he would "love" to sign permanently, but he thought that Wednesday might want some money for him. I said as they lacked goals at the moment they might want him back. He laughed and said "I don't think so!".

Nah, he wasn't. Not that I saw anyway which I thought was strange.

signs are not looking good with him a player that was so outspoken about wanting to get involved with the fans and community gives the Christmas party a miss, my mum was volunteering with the family zone had said she hadn't seen him which is why i asked
