Don't they work in the same way as ultrasonic physio deviceI did my groin in about a year ago, bad tear. Had some needles in it and it worked a treat.
I know it's a pain at the minute to get to a physio but you could try one of these?

As for exercises, I can't help unless you have a groin injury.
