Keep saying it but if EMC isn’t fit Wright on the left and Simms down the middle. Takes a bit of pressure off wright not being central striker and I’d fancy him bullying most RBs in the league

I like wright and know he has a lot of qualities but being a bully isn’t one of them. He’s way to meek for me

That’s why I’ve always felt he performs better/more consistently on the left as he can bully smaller full backs (he struggles a bit more against big physical CBs). I appreciate Lampard disagrees and I reckon wrights maybe said he wants to be central, maybe as he thinks it will help his case for World Cup squad but I think it’s worth a go

I do think he’s got it in him to be more physical though and we’ve seen a bit more of it more recently.
