Ive heard that part of the money recieved from keoghs transfer will be spent on bringing torquay midfielder eunan o'kane into the club. From research he looks like a good young midfielder with potential at this level and maybe higher. Also shows he grabs a few goals here and there but dont know wether or not he woukd be a good signing

cant complain about that looks like Dicky Wood is off, i know hes on 6K a week so i guess his wages freed up could be better spent on more than 1 player! Its all good at the moment even if Keogh and Wood leave, we are doing the right thing in building the squad under a budget, rather than keeping a squad within a budget like last season!

O'Kane was selected in the Div 2 PFA team of the Year last season after scoring 5 goals in 47 games with 9 assists.
Never heard of him previously but if the rumour is true then the signs are good. The likes of Westwood & Keogh were also in their leagues PFA team of the year in the season prior to signing on at the Ricoh and both went on to win multiple player of the year awards for us.

Carey was signed around the Peter Reid era in 2004/05.
Thorn joined as chief scout from Everton around 2007/08. Surely even AT cannot be blamed be for that transfer not being successful.
So as I said originally AT has had success when recommending / purchasing players (Westwood / Keogh) who have been in any PFA 'team of the year' the previous season.

As for rumours some bloke called Daniel Pacheco from Liverpool is apparantly one of our targets...we want him on a season long loan. He's a striker / attacking midfielder.
Some one on facebook seemed very sure we were going for him but hasn't said where he got the info from...

I did check this Pacheco bloke out too. He doesn't look like a bad choice either.
If Thorn is trying to bring in two strikers, id gladly have both of them Pacheco is 21 and Trotta is 20. Not bad ages, young but with enough experience to score goals and not get tired out by the long season.
