I normally wait until they've kicked a ball for us before making a decision. I remember the same people writing off McGoldrick and Leon Clarke when they signed before they'd even played for us.

The Moussa contract renewal signing is the key bit of business for me.

So none of the signings or loanees have kicked a ball since they came here? I was asking the question about the ones who have come in from last summer.

How do you know he ain't gonna get one?

Do you not think the club needs to get it's skates on then? I think if he was going to get one then it would have been offered by now considering how quickly the end of the season is coming around. Or do you think that these things come out of thin air and get signed the next day. Bearing in mind recently when he was interviewed he said he had heard nothing from the club.

Central midfield has been weak for a long time and needs shoring up. Thomas plainly needs a break so additional cover there seems to make sense as it seems Pressley does not see Barton or Daniels as being the answer.

I can see Daniels waving goodbye

Is he a defensive midfielder, surely that is what is needed, someone who can do the Carsley/Doyle role.

On my viewing of the Brentford game, this is a long-overdue and desperately needed signing. Now watch the bloke hobble around with intermittent injuries between now and May!

Can't really judge him until he's played at least a couple of games for us but that doesn't fill me with confidence. Sounds like he's been out with a fairly serious injury and needs to get some match time in so he can prove his fitness and get a contract (with us?) next season. They don't seem in the slightest bit upset he's gone which is never a good sign but then you could have said the same when McGoaldrick came and we had Forrest fans taking the piss out of us for taking him on loan.

Seen him at Bournemouth a few times, and a good solid league 1 DM. Not an exciting player, but gets the job done if that makes sense.

Prone to red cards tho IIRC

Coventry City's new loan signing Anton Robinson has revealed he won't be going through the motions during his time with the Sky Blues.

The 28-year old midfielder joined City on an emergency loan deal until the end of the season yesterday and is expected to go straight into the squad for the game against Stevenage tomorrow.

Robinson has enjoyed a lot of success at League One level having been a crucial part of the Huddersfield team which gained promotion from the third tier in the 2011/12 season.

The former Bournemouth man hopes to use that experience to help the Sky Blues pick up some crucial results from now until the end of the season.

Robinson said: "When I heard about the interest from Coventry City, I knew it would be a good move for me.

"I have been eager to get back out on the pitch and play some competitive football so I can't wait to get stuck in and play some games.

"I believe I can add quite a lot to the side. I have been at this level before and know all about what is needed to be a success at this level.

"It is a young squad who are very talented. But we are at the crucial end of the season now and we need to get results. Hopefully, I can help get those points."

Robinson helped Gillingham secure promotion to League One last season whilst on loan at Priestfield and was part of the Bournemouth side which got promoted from League Two in 2009/10.

With the midfielder out of contract at the end of the season, Robinson has ensured his effort levels will be at the very top for City.

He added: "Of course, with the situation I'm currently in with my contract ending at Huddersfield, I want to come here and make a good impression.

"It is important for me to get game-time and to come here to play for a team which operates a high-pressing game, that can only be good for me.

"I'm a ball-winning midfielder who plays box-to-box and likes to contribute going forward. I can score goals as well and hopefully I can do that for Coventry."

Clearly been signed to add, as Coleman used to say about 'Deegs', 'to add a bit of bite in the centre'.

Someone on here did yesterday...unfortunately for us, they think he's pretty rubbish and are glad to see him leave :(

As did forest fans when we got McGoldrick. As fans on here did when Wolves got Clarke. And McDonald when he went to Gills, etc etc etc

Give the guy a chance ffs, this is the thing that pisses me off most about cov fans. When a lad comes in and fans slate him before he's even looked at shirt it's a complete fucking disgrace. I suppose it gives some of you twats something to moan about other than sisu though. So thank god for small mercys.

My only concern is that he hasn't kicked a ball in a competitive FL fixture for almost 11 months (his last game being for Gillingham vs Rotherham in League 2 on April 1st 2013). If he can get switched on mentally and physically quick enough then sure, an extra body in midfield is a good thing. It's unfortunate no-one's seen the best of him since 2011 while he was at Bournemouth, but he's certainly good enough for this division if he can play like he did back then.

Chill out Torchy, my old mate.
I wasn't having a go at him - just reporting what had been said.
