did he actually sign a contarct as manager with us, or has he just agreed verbally ?

Haha, he's actually signed it, fear not. Happened a couple of weeks ago i think.

Hopefully this won't happen, but I really hope that even if things don't work out for him this season and the board decide to look for another manager, he still stays on as scout.
He is clearly very good at finding players.

well he couldnt find Marlon King when he verablly agreed to stay whilst on holiday

Good point, CS88. He's also clearly very good at motivating players, and understanding their strengths and weaknesses - good management all round. He comes across as a 'diamond geezer' and I can feel an old ditty coming on:
