Radio is the best place for him, he has a truly unimpressive persona.

Really? If it was the talk sport interview I thought he seemed brain dead with nothing offer of any substance or use.

Basically said the people of coventry were good people and didn't deserve what was happening to the club. It was happening for a while and he could see it. Hopes it works out in the end for the fans. I thought he came across very genuine and a generally nice man.

Shame some people on this forum can't help have a dig at a man who did his best after being thrust into the managers seat.

'He's a nice guy' doesn't hide his terrible management ability.

It doesn't, but being interviewed on the radio doesn't need him to be a fantastic manager either.

Thrust! that poor fellow, I remember having the balls to turn a job down that was too big for me a few years ago, however, they did thrust it upon me........I accepted, good old Northern Rock.

Not having a dig at him, always thought he seemed a sound bloke and hoped for him to maybe return to his original role, but like all his interviews before it was full of fluff. When asked give examples to back up what he was saying he couldn't which led me to believe he was just repeating other people's words.

Like I said at the top, not having a go, just thinks he's poor at being interviewed

Tut tut surely you should be abusing him about his weight and looks by now.

All very important when discussing a manager !

I thought he did 'ok' when he took over and had a decent team and got them playing some decent football, compared to the long ball stuff of Boothroyd. But when the team was stripped bare his short comings were exposed and he struggled desperately and then Juke was sold in him. Put all his faith on Cody and didn't quite happen. Who knows, if we bought ALF might have been a different story.

Another recent employee who obviously knows a lot more but stays stum. The fans deserve more than that.

Top bloke, top scout! Unfortunate to be thrown in the deep end and having to work with no resources.

What do you expect if he opens his mouth about Sisu he will be sued !!!
If an ex council employee opens their mouth and talks about the council would they normaly be sued ?

Why would i? Im sorry but he came in to the hot seat and unfortunately it didnt work out for him. I don't think he deserves half the abuse he gets to be honest. Other terrible ex managers don't get as much flak as Thorn on here, or is the fact that he may not have the most athletic figure easy to have a pop at?

I was one of Husseys biggest critics, but thought he started coming on well towards the end of his city career, deegs weren't the worst I've seen....which is more than i could say for Bell

I was sarcastic about the shoddy manner in which some fans abuse him.

He was shafted when he took over and SISU decimated the squad.

Virtually guaranteeing a relegation.

Then he was allowed to make signings and was given 3 games. A draw against a team that went up another against one that went into the play offs. Then a third arguably poor draw. In which the first half showed the potential of the team. Followed by a poor second half.
However that was the third game of the season so these things happen.

The players he signed may have performed under him playing the positions and style they were signed for.

Who knows it may have worked out it may have gone horribly wrong and we finish mid table.

I simply think 3 games was never enough time to know.

5 managers and six fields later.......

Another top decision by SISU either sack him at the end of the season. Not three games in after he signed 9 players.

Absolute idiots

Making mature jabs at his weight is silly, but the fact he said some nice things or seems a nice guy certainly doesn't mean people can't criticise the job he did.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if there wasn't a gagging clause attached to his severance payment; it's what happens a lot in Joy's circles.

Had 4 games including dag and red in the league cup, and was unbeaten in his first (and only) 4 games last season. Not even Robins, who i, like just about everybody, rated, could boast that.

Blew 6 points from winning positions in just 3 games. Regardless praising him because of so few games when Robins had to pick up the wreckage he left behind is absurd.
