He's a lot to prove with regards to management, and the interim Chelsea spell seriously hurt his reputation. I think it's within his interests to get a job done here that can be considered an unequivocal success.

I think people are right to say we’ll get a lot of these headlines, but I reckon Lampard will have learnt his lesson from Chelsea. I think he’ll have to get us into the premier league before having any credit in the bank as well. That’s why I guess the relationship works for both parties.

Yea, if it's what I heard on the radio after Rangers beat Fenerbache it was definitely framed in the last tense and I think he actually said that there is no way he'd be leaving now.

I agree with this, however, there are more than a few clubs capable of making what would be (rightly or wrongly) a short-sighted appointment.

Not taking anything away from him, but there's a handful of owners I could think of that would hire him based off his name and not what he's actually achieving anyway.

Don't worry, He'll be here next season at the very least. Loads in our favour in that he's already had a few 'bigger' jobs which didn't pan out perfectly for him. I think he knows he needs time and trust to build something rather than skip to the next job. We are a really good fit currently decent squad, a team on the up and out of the mad pressure of the Prem. Somewhere he can really knuckle down and learn the ropes properly and fully restore his reputation. It's also not like he needs money so I don't think big offers will be much of a factor.

Obviously If Chelsea or England come in down the line then he's a gonner but I think he'll see out his contract here by which point there is hope we'd be in the Prem

If/when we get promoted and we stay up he would be at or near the top of the list of wanted managers. To me it would take a job he really wants. But for now we look like playing in front of a sellout crowd whenever our opponents sell their allocation. We're loud and proud. He keeps mentioning how important we are. He has the players good enough. He doesn't need the money. Most of us could retire on the value of his watch collection alone.

I agree with the notion he will stay here at least till the end of next season and likely at least till some way into the following season, otherwise he gets a reputation as a manager that flits about and stays nowhere very long.

The benefits of stability at least in the medium term is one lesson his last 3 jobs of short duration should have taught him.

I guess the way to look at is, for Lampard to be a viable target for a top team he'll have had to have achieved something like promotion with us. So we'd then be a prem team and ourselves, win win really.

He's not short of a few quid so isn't going to Saudi or even to a basket case club that chucks money at him. We are the perfect fit.
