La. Lucha look him up on Wikipedia. Basically blagged his way into Southampton!

So Ali Dia pretended to be George Weah's cousin and managed to get a 1 month contract and a match (against Leeds) at Southampton under Graeme Souness.

He was brought on as a sub if I recall, and then substituted within 10 minutes because he was that woeful. He'd fit in well here if he's still available.

Surely Souness could see in training that this guy was awful?

Souness put him on the bench without ever seeing him play - he was meant to turn out in a reserves game but it had been cancelled. Le Tis got injured after 15 minutes and Sou brought Ali Dia on instead, then brought him off again before half time! God knows what was said in the dressing room after!

As Barry Venison said at the time: "his name was Ali Dia, and wasn't he just!"
