A lot of Aldi stuff is good. Their Nordic berry cider is nice too and much cheaper than the known popular brands.

I'm pretty sure one of their single malt whiskys won an award not so long ago too.

I still can’t get over the price of Peroni in the UK, here you can get 660ml Nastro Azzurro for 0,85c in the larger supermarkets and it doesn’t have a great reputation.

I've had the Galahad Lager before, nice taste. Goes a bit flat quite quickly though, but it's about £2 for 4 cans... Will try the Rossini

2 for £4 tends to be offers there though, from what I remember and even then they are small bottles but agree duty will cause an increase. Their marketing overtime has been spot on over in the UK though to make it seen as a higher-end lager, here it is more associated with truck stops. I ordered a pint of it in London while I was over on a work trip and my boss looked at me like I was off my head.

Anyone looking for a different Italian lager, try and get your hands on 'Ichnusa non Filtrata' - worth seeing if its available online and ideally Non Filtrata rather than normal. I can drink it like water its so nice

I remember Corona being the hip overpriced drink about ten years ago even though it tastes like weak piss water and is sold in Mexico for next to nothing.

Peroni Is pretty much the same as Heineken I think but way overpriced. I could happily drink it but it's nowt special.

Perlenbacher beer from Lidl is better and about 1/4 the price.

It's a beer that non beer drinkers can drink because it's so inoffensive.

It's poor but I'd take it over Carlsberg or Coors Light any day of the week. I'd rather drink my cats piss than those.

Haha they love Tennents Super, even in Piazza ‘Erbe in Verona there’s a classy bar that has it on tap.

It's better out of the bottle for some reason but still decent and superb value. I like the other German lager Steinhauser too. Rather drink the Aldi / Lidl stuff over a lot of the main brand shite

Yes a big fan... I’d like to get over this season... love the Bentegodi, proper old-school stadium... although there was only about 12000 max in there last time I was there (Serie B about 3 seasons ago).

Haven’t seen the Atalanta stadium since they did the refurbishments.... I hope it’s still got the same character...

Only in Wetherspoons unfortunately. It’s one of the easiest lagers to drink I’ve had. Bit strong though.
