We look fairly certain to beat last season's points total so for me, we'll have progressed again this season even if that's not enough for top 6.

If we improve our points total again next season, and we're good to watch, that's progress and will almost certainly give us a playoff spot.

That's my expectation; to keep building momentum. I think we've got a core that can exceed that expectation. All hinges on how we start!

Yup, going to make such a massive difference if we are not playing catch-up.

I’d expect us to be solid play-off challengers next season. If we can actually have a good start to the season this year there is no reason why we can’t be solidly placed in the top 4 or 5 for the majority of next season. Autos is the dream but I imagine the relegated clubs + whoever doesn’t go up out of Leeds, Leicester or Southampton will just blow everyone else out of the water financially as per usual and it’ll be a bit of a closed shop.

I'll be glad to be shot of Leeds, Leicester and/or Ipswich/Southampton. Would much rather face Sheffield Utd, Burnley and maybe Luton. I always thought play-offs would be a stretch what with the calibre of the teams coming down.

I think with the right recruitment we could certainly be a team who could spend the season in the Top Six.

If we don’t sell Sheaf 1-4th, if we do 6-8th.

Some of the add ons were also team related so a good chance we'll also get something extra if Sporting win the league.

The add ons come out of the sell on though cos it goes down from 15% to 10% if he hits the add ons.

I hope to be pushing playoffs again. I don't believe we will have any big outgoings this summer, the stadium is sorted, the pitch will be in great condition. I'm looking forward to see what we can do without being handicapped at the start.

I think Leicester if they didn't go up would lose 2-3 of their better players . Added to some of the squad getting on and I think they would struggle next season . Leeds or Southampton would strengthen significantly but so would we .
I think top 6 next season is the bare minimum we should expect

Potential we get a bit up front before any transfer.

The flip side is we'll probably be paying some of the add ons for Simms if he keeps up this form.

Haven't we still got some/a lot of the Hamer money as well? I know there's costs/wages etc but didn't we get £15m for him and not spend much/any of it?

I guess Torp and Mason-Clark might have come out of that.

Between Torp, EMC and performance clauses for Wright and Simms, I wouldn’t bank on there being much left from whatever we’ve got from Sheff Utd so far.

We'll have increased ticket sales for next season (I suspect), the FA Cup run money, increased TV revenues as well. I just don't think a successful or expensive transfer window will be dependent on Vik moving.

Keeping Sheaf is the key, and my only worry.

If we can do that and add a few (plus EMC) then I’d put money on us being comfortably top 6, maybe better.

theres still a likeihood that we could lose top players too
sheaf - obv no brainer purchase
simms - you could imagine someone that goals to the prem would gamble on him
lati - keep seeing rumours about sporting targeting him too

Hopefully see Leeds and Ipswich go up automatically, and Southampton in the Play-offs (if we're not there). Leicester look like they're about ripe for an implosion, not too worried about West Brom and Norwich, Hull will have to rebuild again, Preston will collapse to their usual mid table finish, Middlesbrough could be interesting. Sheffield United clearly a basket case, Burnley will likely be up there. Then it's a choice between Luton and Forest. Coming up from League 1, I don't think any of them have enough to challenge for the play-offs this time round.

I think Simms & Wright will be here for at least another year, then who knows. And anyway Doug will play hardball with any sale price.

Losing sheaf won’t define our season, we’re 5 points ahead of last year after losing Hamer and Gyokeres.

Win the League, Champions League qualifications, goals scored - can't believe there'll be many targets he's missed.

Depends on 2 things for me

When in the window Vik moves. We need it to be early no question.

If he does, then i expect another 6 or 7 million spent on the squad with 3 or 4 of real quality and another 3 or 4 of potential and pushing for automatics tbh

If Vik doesnt move early/at all, i think we will once again be pissing about until late in the window on a smaller budget leading to us again giving teams a head start.

I know some on here dont believe me with the info I get, however a lot do and i cannot stress enough just how important it us to us that Vik goes early on so we can go bang bang bang, targets in the building

I’d like to think regardless of vik going we’d still be in a good position to recruit early, fa cup run and good gates etc.

With a settled squad we really should be looking at Play Offs as a minimum, but anything can happen in this league.
Do need to have more options off the bench though, the squad is very bare when we have one or two injuries, and I imagine the likes of O'Hare, Godden, Allen and Kelly ( ) will be off in the summer

I'm hoping as a businessman Doug has a few different plans ready to implement rather than wait on external factors entirely out of our control (Sale of Viktor and Hamer). I hope plan A is to entirely ignore the impact of a Gyokeres sale and just work with what we've got. I'm assuming when we sold him we didn't expect him to be leading in goal contributions across Europe and be moved on so quickly

I'd suggest we did believe he would move on quickly. That was the only logical reason to move to portugal.

Still can’t make plans based on other clubs transfer business. Can barely make them on your own considering players can get injured at any time.

Aim is promotion and good cup run.
Highest ST sales.
Get more kids from area schools coming.
Increase capacity at the stadium.
Record transfer fee for an incoming player.
Build more quality depth within the squad.
Improve training facilities
Improve match day experience to create more income

Hope is we do this above in a safe and stable way to build on the foundation already in place. To take us forward while giving the fans see a clear vision of what we are doing. I don't want middle of the rd, the fans deserves every onze of joy and excitement we get,, every single onze, nobody in the country can begrudge us that.

I can't see us getting another 10m for Vik but looking at it logically and with a bit of reservation:

5-6m: Sell on for Vik
4-5m: Season ticket sales
1m: FA Cup run

That is a pot of 10-12 million and is with Doug not putting any extra in. We could also have some left from the sale of Hamer but you never really know. Hopefully anything left over from Hamer is what is paying for Mason-Clark and Mark Robins has 10+ million available to take that next step.

1m FA Cup run, more like 2.5 m.

Just hope we do as we have been and improve and be competitive in a difficult league, sign some decent players and go from there

Presuming we don't gatecrash the Play-offs and win them, what are you hoping for next season?

I can't lie I am seriously hoping that we can spend the whole season in and around the Top 6 - We won't be far off if we can add a bit more in addition to our current crop having a full season and proper pre season under their belt, I do sincerely think next season could be 'the one'

With the amount of new players we need to add to the squad, " again " it could be a slow start to the season again.

I don't think we need as many players as others are making out.

A quality number 10, right wing and centre back would be the key areas to spend whatever funds we have. We also need a centre midfielder and striker for rotation options.

Other areas you might want to wheel and deal on would be left back and goalkeeper but only if it's a worthwhile upgrade.

Automatics will be possible but I will take top 6!
