Southampton went into administration a couple of years ago, wiped there debt, caused small companies that they owed money to to go bust. But by doing that they have got into the premier league.

Leeds went into administration, they now have more money then us.

we are trying to play fair, keep afloat, cover our costs, and at every turn we are hampered by the council with the rent. If we had gone into administration 5 years ago we would be in the premier league right now. The football league are penalising clubs that play by the rules and try and keep afloat.

Look at pompey they went into administration, then were allowed to bring loans in. We don't file our accounts as the club is trying to secure funding for next season, and make sure we pay our way and we get handed a transfer embargo.

Cardiff have also played as close as they can to admin without going into it.. They've banked on getting promotion for a few years and massively overspent.
Also Leicester.. Been in admin, more money and better prospects.

If we had gone into admin in 2003 we would have owned half the Ricoh project which would have made us a very attractive prospect.

Also if we had gone into admin before Sisu bought us, the £40 million Sisu spent to cover debts could have been used to buy a share in the Ricoh, and spend on players. 10 points deduction is not a very big punishment if a couple of seasons later you'll be in the premier league, or at least competing in the championship.

Look at Doncaster, and Bristol. Trying to live within their means, not overspend and get in debt, but Doncaster get relegated, and Bristol 4th from bottom. Very poor management by the football league, they should be helping the clubs who dont overspend and try and live within their means.

but bristol own their stadium, which covers the cost of that debt and then some. And rather then go into administration to wipe the debt they are trying to cut it fairly.

One minute your moaning about sisu not spending money, the next about everyone else spending some.

I never moaned about Sisu not spending money. if theres no money to spend theres no money to spend. I just think administration has been the easy way out for a lot of teams, and those who try to play within the rules have ended up worse off.
