Like all Sky Blues fans, we want Coventry City Football Club playing in Coventry. We have repeatedly said that we are happy to discuss terms to allow the Sky Blues to continue playing at the Ricoh Arena – and have even offered to allow them to play for free while the club remains in administration. This offer was made a month ago and we still have not had a response.

We are therefore deeply disappointed at the Football League’s decision to allow the club to leave the city for three years.

The Ricoh Arena is available to them. We want them here. The fans want them here.

They need to stop with the gentle language. Come out and absolutely slate the football league.

Remember they have to be out of admin first and when do you think that will be if its after the season starts what then?

No idea. I'm sure some other bull will crop up and another argument will start between the suits. Seem to me like SISU are just thinking "screw 'em" at the moment.

Should never of left Highfield road.

Agreed, the Football League are a bunch of suited clowns, how can they advocate this?
ACL say there can be a deal done, surely the FL should pressure sisu to do a deal by saying "no you can't Fucking move to Northampton"

When are CC COUNCIL & ACL going to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the TRUTH?

Personally I'm not holding my breath - LOL

Sorry. That was meant to say, they are probably thinking screw 'em. Not screw up.

Maybe SISU have spoken to the FL and said, look, we don't want to work with ACL again. Not after last time. That could explain why things are working for them right now. I'm guessing of course...

To be fair,

I doubt we've heard the full truth from any of them. Cov Council are incredible dumb sometimes. wouldn't surprise me at all if we hear more later down the line...

When are SHITSU going to tell the truth? They have to pay 1.3mil up front before this can happen, yet they can't pay the lowered rent offered by ACL. And also are Northampton going to give then all the food and beverage money from CCFC match days? . Who is going to pay the policing costs, stewards and such like. If all the fans who say they will never attended the ground stick to their word (I am one who will never set foot in there) then it is going to cost them 1000's more over the season they they will ever take.

I believe the money offered to ACL is £600,000 your friends can reject this of course and force a points penalty on the club but I think they'll take it. I suspect they will need it once sisu and compass take them to court....

Maybe but you haven't seen our first team yet have you, I imagine there will now be a fire sale of anyone with a value and only minimal wages will be paid to academy lads !

Why will sisu take them to court?

Anyway, has Appleton put any compensation payments to acl in the CVA?

Makes me wonder if the FL actually bothered to speak to ACL to find out their side of the story and whether there was any chance of a deal or just take what SISU said at face value.
Maybe they did and that's why the paragraph about SISU and ACL should continue to negotiate was in the FL's statement and they have agreed it purely just because there's only 4 weeks to go and with the track record of these two parties when it comes to negotiating, they'll still be disagreeing over who said what at Christmas.
For me, past record suggests that very little that SISU say should be believed. Whereas, I get the feeling that ACLs statements are more truthful but maybe lacking in detail so we don't quite get the full story. I doubt we'll ever know exactly what has happened and how much blame lies where, same as we don't know exactly what happened during the previous ownership.

I will say this nicely before I say to much that I regret this Football Club is my passion and my life, I love it more than many people care to think, don't you dare start your face palming crap tonight..
