Accrington actually went up the table even though they lost!
Because they lost by less goals than a team that were equal on points and goal difference.

If you can win against fancy teams or draw as we did at Luton, win at home and win against hard unfashionable sides like today then as a team you are growing and developing really well.
Our young side is able to do well in poor games rather than lose them. It's a good sign and we are on a good run now and full of confidence.
Bakoyako was a waste in this game, would have liked to Chaplin on this pitch. Kelly immense in his play all around.
It was a disciplined performance from us and the playoffs are looking a definite possibility again with the nervous end of the season to come for everyone...

Good win that. Could have had more in the end, but three points is all that matters! Couple of hard earned wins in the last couple of games, feel like they've put a few grey hairs on me!

Assuming we can win at Doncaster at the end of the season, that would effectively cut their advantage to two points plus the game they have in hand. Playoffs are far from impossible, and I think the recent lineup changes have improved us.

Would double like this if I could :cigar:

Watched the stream of the 2nd half on FB (cheers to the lad streaming it) and we looked good value. Lovely goal by Bright and the disallowed one never went out.

Man of the match was the lad who hoyed the ball out of the ground in injury time after their player shot into the crowd, absolutely p1ssed myself seeing that. And kudos to our fans who made the trip up there, safe journey home guys. Time to open a(nother...) celebratory beer :joyful:

Sounded like a workman like win over a good footballing victory but you got to win them ways at places like Accrington.

Ugly and poor or workman like and dogged however you view it a wins a win and the 3 points are taken come 5pm.

5 unbeaten now. 11 points from 15.

Fantastic clean sheet from Burge

You're right, of course it is! Following City is so stressful that draw against Luton felt like a win!

Took 3 more attempts than I thought but nice to finally beat Stanley and a composed finish for the goal to boot.

Think we’ll end up somewhere between 60 and 70 points with Pompey/Sunderland/Barnsley still to come.

Think Gary Megson’s West Brom side of 2003/4 was famous for that, they won 15 games by one goal and their top scorer just had 7.

18 of Accrington’s 29 wins last year were by a single goal.
