Possibly. The real problem is there are many sides to tackle. Where do you start?

I know where I'd start but we've left it rather late.

What I would like to see is some of the retards who post comments on the CT challenged - there is a small clique who reply to every CCFC story with anti-CCFC (not just ant-SISU) sentiments. To the casual reader it may appear that they represent the consensus when often the issue they're commenting on is far more complex than their childish comments would suggest.

That is the thing, I don't think it is moderated. 99% of them are factually incorrect and to people reading the site they can come across of what all fans think.

The FA promote grass roots football don't they. As well as losing the academy local facilities would be lost so that angle could be tried as well. Get anyone who uses the Higgs to raise objections.

I posted the planning link on my twitter and I've already got 3 people having a go at me for objecting to our academy being closed!

One of them the council employee?

It's a disgrace the way some of our fans go on because they think they can get one over on SISU.

See the CT have caught up. Just waiting for the usual suspects to post their gleeful comments beneath the article.

What about somebody with social media knowledge getting hashtags on the go and trending? Get celebs and footballers involved like Linekar, Savage etc

I can ask my pal:

So who's doing what? Don't let this be all talk. Is anyone going to coordinate it? Tell me what I'm doing and I'll do it.

Good idea. Maybe someone could tweet some of the players that came out of our academy. Get some of them on board.

Yep, ex players.

Even people like Carrick / Sturridge...

Correct. Why people are more concerned with having a go at SISU than the club losing its academy is beyond me.

That's a cracking idea. If you could get someone like Wilson to back it that could generate some press.

Need to have a closer look at the plans and see what other facilities will be lost. Get people that use them onboard.

Do Leicester, Northampton or Worcester rugby teams have a supporters club? Our trust could make contact and ask for their support as this no doubt means Wasps will be looking to move their academy here.

I think Worcester would be the side to get on board with. Isn't Coventry supposed to be in their catchment for youth development?

You're right but future looks bleak, no matter how bad things had got in the past I've always been able to see the bigger picture and hope of a better future.

Right now the club is dying and I see no way of turning it around.

Thing is, the club is the fans, the fans need to unite on something at last.

It isnt council, sisu, court cases.

It is just, The Academy.... Everybody can agree it needs to be saved.

surely this goes against the grain of what the CSF is supposed to be about?

Might be worth finding out which teams use them and involving them.

This will get passed no doubt and it's a shame we didn't have the finance/idea to do it first.

As an example of what we're up against see the comments:

The Wasps/CCC unofficial PR team are out in force. I think I may be fighting a losing battle.

The actual PR people have free reign on there though, they get kicked off places like here.

We would have not been allowed to. The Higgs hierarchy are now very different to the fine benefactors that began this institution.

Wasps and the council can do what they want. CCFC will be a thing of the pat in Coventry.
